Verizon showing Gingerbread for X2

So I just saw on Verizon's site that Gingerbread is available for the X2, however, no one in the Moto forums has confirmed getting the update.

Either Verizon jumped the gun and the page will be down soon, or they're being selective with which areas are getting it.

I've tried to force updates for the last 20 minutes, but nothing so far.

Anyone have any luck?

Software Update: DROID X2 by Motorola

Nothing here either and I called VZW about it. They have no confirmed date until it is given to them by Motorola(according to the rep I spoke with)

Weird. Did the soak test ever go out?

Looks like Verizon definitely jumped the gun on this.

yah I got the post from FB and have been checking for the update for like 20 minutes... no luck thus far!

I think Verizon jumped the gun on posting the release notes. I don't think that the update is rolling out yet.

Been hanging out in the Moto support forums, and so far, there is no official confirmation from Moto that the update is ready to go.

The forum manager posted this:

"The posting of the release notes does not necessarily mean the update is ready to go. It's more of a sign. Verizon posting the notes is like a warm day in early March. It probably means Spring is coming soon -- or it's just an early warm day."

Looks like Big Red jumped the gun.

Can anyone confirm the update is rolling out?

Yeah, I've been checking mine and no update. They did the same thing with the Fascinate. They would show us the goodies we're getting, and we'd get the update about a week later.

I think this is the same thing going on with this phone. Is Verizon. They're jerks.

Verizon never said the update was released - it only said what will be in the update. AndroidCentral made the false statement without any confirmation or proof.

I have nothing yet either, but Droid Life just posted that GB is being released in batches starting today.

Just left the VZ store. Their official site says "coming soon." The display phones both have the updated software. Looks nice!

Now Chuck, why did you have to go and say that? Now I'm going to be checking updates like crazy. Lol.

Lol, it clearly tells you not to post this on any public sites. But how come I haven't gotten this email when I have already signed up?
