Verizon SIII JB Upgrade to 4.1.2

I was having that problem before the update. Changed out chargers, problem solved.

Charger at work and at home both are not charging at speeds they were prior to the update. I think the odds of that being the issue simultaneouly would be near nil.

Was on phone with Verizon tech support and they are pushing my a new PRL. We will see if that helps.

Had Media Battery drain issues before 4.1.2 & after ..... I even finally did a hard reset & still have Media Battery drain & now cannot copy files to SD from computer .... never had problems copying files to SD :(

I really did like ICS!!! NOT HAPPY with Jelly Bean at any level!

Cheers, Jon

Same here.. my grandmother's new GS3 purchased yesterday is still sitting at 4.1.1 saying no new updates. My son's that was purchased today had the update waiting for him when we got home..

Ever since the upgrade my weather widget doesn't show the birth cake notification anymore. I really like this notification, i find it very convenient. Anyone know how i can get it back?

Guys!! The reason for Maps app battery drain can usually be traced back to one setting:
Go to Maps-menu button-settings-location settings-UNCHECK "Report from this device" helped me when I saw a drain in both 4.1.1 and 4.1.2 ;)
Hope this helps!

Find a friend with a Verizon S3 who has gotten the upgrade. Put their SIM in your phone to download the update. Once it's downloaded swap your SIM back in and run the upgrade. This is what I had to do because each time I would check for the update I get the "Service Unavailable" message. This will only allow you to get the 4.1.2 upgrade but won't fix the software update check failing.

I believe this has something to do with the SIM or account provisioning on Verizon's side. Getting a new SIM from Verizon seems to be the only permanent fix.

Go to Verizon.
I had the same issue about a month ago, and they said it has been a reported issue, and some of their SIM cards have been acting wonky lately for some reason :s

OMG! I would rather slit my wrists than go into the Verizon store ... but, I guess you gotta do what you gotta do.

Finally got to pull the update down last night... yeah I won't be with Big Red much longer.. now to find a better phone.. Nex 4? HTC One? S4? ugh nothing really good out there right now.. this sux!

just got the upgrade yesterday. it installed without any problems, don't really notice any differences, but i do notice my bt devices seem to connect much quicker. btw, does anyone know how to disable that bt popup screen that shows up when you start bt?

I just got the update 4.1.2 and i have split screen you have to turn it on most likely in the notification pull down screen to the right.

So.. I looked and my phone is showing 4.1.2 but I don't have any split screen option.. :(

Ok so I've been scanning pages of threads for hours, and I *hate* posting questions that have been asked before, but I can't seem to find an answer to my entire question so here it goes....

I have a SGS3 with 4.1.2 installed. I need to downgrade to 4.1.1 - long story. I don't want any custom ROMs, etc. Do I need to unlock? Do I need to root to prevent Verizon from pushing 4.1.2 OTA as soon as I get this back up? I'm a total n00b with this stuff and I could use help from someone who can explain it in a very non-technical way. Thanks for your help!

Does the Verizon 4.1.2 update have the same ui in the gallery as the the T mobile Version 4.1.2
