"Verizon WiFi Available" notification

Couldn't find anything about this in my searches.

Anyone else experiencing it? It's mainly an annoyance, as it puts yet another icon in the damn status bar and the only way to make it go away is to press on it (where it seemingly does nothing).

4gLTE works regardless of what you do with it.
WiFi is enabled, but I'm not connected to anything.
A long-press reveals "LG System Server" and nothing more can be done to it.

Really wish there was a way to get rid of it.

Try going to settings, wifi, and then "Advanced". From there you can turn off the wifi notification when you're near open wifi.

Well, don't I feel dumb. I didn't realize that was causing the Verizon WiFi. Thought maybe it was notifying me of legitimate WiFi signals around.

I am on Verizon and have seen Wi-Fi notifications but never one that said Verizon. Maybe if you are by a Verizon store it comes up like that. Mary
