REALLY disappointed verizon isn't carrying this in platinum gold. I was going to switch from an iPhone 6 to S6 edge but really not a fan of black and while white looks ok, $400 for a phone in a color I don't love is a bit much.

I'm actually considering a switch to AT&T (my wife could take my line over and cancel her out of contract line). Any benefits to AT&T over Verizon these days -- plans? service?

Samsung was tight lipped today. Our call with them was not even a live model. It was a GLOBAL pre-production model so I can not comment on the branding logos others were asking. They did not even take questions or talk about why it was not available on launch in other colors and no mention of pre-order starting any time other then the 1st of April. Sorry right now they either are going to launch as slated or they have something up their sleeve.

I'm considering it too, my old clunker still works so I really don't NEED a new phone, I've never owned anything but a black phone and that platinum sure does look good. Like ICBYH said, it could give some time to work out the kinks and also see what the LG has up their sleeve.

Totally agree. I am going to lurk in the forums and watch the carnage unfold. Well that is a little dramatic but you get the gist.

My S5 is running smooth as butter. When the color option becomes available that I want, then I might jump in the pool.

Don't take this the wrong way. It is exciting to follow all things S6. It's always a feeling of being high on anticipation... and I don't want to **** on anyone's parade. But for me, I want what I want, and I'm willing to exercise patience to get it.

So we had an internal announcement regarding competition offers and I can not use the exact post...but they are claiming to be "withholding a special offer and promotions on the Galaxy s6 and Samsung devices, currently" without using the exact words. So from what we can gather they are trying to work out a promotion and it will PROBABLY be for a discount if you get an S5 or Tablet, it might not even affect the S6 directly but something is coming. Soon as I know more I will pass it on but it as of right now will be on the front page on April 1st as a pre-order Samsung special. Sorry to be so cryptic but they message was honestly very vague and I do not want to cross any lines

Color choices...yeah I agree but honestly Samsung has nearly ALWAYS brought out more colors down the road..just like other carriers. We ASSUMED we would get all colors at launch based on a World Wide announcement and honestly that was our bad. I want to see all color choices but either way I could live with just white / black if that is my choices. Typically we have not seen other colors for nearly 3-6 months after launch so those who say they will wait....I hope your current phone makes it to July 4 or later and you do not mind the possible long delay. End of the day this is a business choice they want carriers to pay for exclusive rights and I am sure right now they are making offers lol. It creates free marketing and a ton of HYPE for an already amazing phone...so working as intended for Samsung!

Verizon device did have 24.5 GB free after gmail was setup on the device...for anyone curious about overall storage.

Anyone waiting on colors this is directly from Samsung corporate trainer for Verizon - "Additional color choices will come in the form of Green GS6 Edge and Blue GS6 around August for Verizon."

Well, I ordered a black S6 edge today, but will be paying full price. I can just give it to my wife when the green one comes out and use my upgrade and the Best Buy workaround to get it. Thanks for the info!
