Vibration seems weak

Re: Vibration

Both the vibration and the volume is very weak on this phone. I have already missed a couple of calls with it in my pants pocket. Replaced my original droid with this phone. Not going to go back but they dropped the ball on the volume and vibration. Perhaps they were cost cutting...

My iPhone 5 is vibrating. That's a new feature of the iPhone 5, they vibrate now.

Re: Vibration

Volume and vibrate are weak. I am missing notifications while on vibrate.

Re: Vibration

I don't know why you can't feel the phone vibrate. Mine gives me a good vibe and feels really good in my pocket. Volume on ringer could be louder but I choose ones that are louder. My Star Trek soundboard app has some that are pretty loud and not at all hard to hear. May not like Star Trek but it has some ringtones that anyone should be able to hear on this phone. I hope some of you all didn't get a bad one as I'm having no problems like what I'm hearing in this forum. :)

Same for me. People might not have the notification/ringtone volume set very high or are using the quiet sounds. I've had my ringer volume set one below max the past two days and haven't missed a thing.

Re: Vibration

The vibration is extremely weak for me, the volume was low as well but I put my own mp3s as ringers/notifications after bumping up the dB level in Audacity. Hopefully they'll create/enable a setting where the vibrate can last longer when it does go off because I barely can feel it in my pocket and that's when I'm not moving.

I use SMS Popup to adjust the length of vibrations... there are other apps that may do the same thing.

People coming from D1 will inevitably feel that volume and vibration are weak. I know that difference since I myself came from D1>DX>TBolt>GN. Both volume and vibration differ from phone to phone. Some will have louder speaker while some others not. Some will have stronger motor while some other not. It could a preference. However, I don't think it is a bug. I have no problem feeling the vibration of my GN when it is in my holster. Beside a few REALLY REALLY strong vibrating phones, it is natural to sometimes miss the vibration of your phone if you have it within your pants.

Glad I found this thread which means no go for me on the GN, bad radio, not so good battery life, and one of the most important things to me vibration. I'll stick with Bionic. DAMN! DAMN!! DAMN!!!

Yes I came from a DX. I love this phone allot, no deal brakes here. As you use it and read the forums with others sharing, you will learn. Also I believe as they improve ics this phone will only improve as well. Thanks for the replies gentlemen and ladies.
