Video apps crashing on Galaxy Tab E (Verizon)

[Android Central Question]

All of a sudden all the video apps on my Samsung Galaxy tablet are crashing within about 1-2 minutes of opening the app. It doesn't matter if a video is playing or not. Tried VLC, youtube, etc... it keeps happening. Other apps seem to be working fine.

What I've tried:
Reboot
Clearing app caches
Wiping cache partition
Uninstalling and reinstalling video apps
Device Wipe/Factory Reset

Extremely frustrating! Please help!!

also forgot to mention I went to play store/updates looked up the Android System WebView, it was not updated. In device settings/app manager I went to Android System WebView it shows as disabled and the 'enable' button is grayed and cannot be selected...

OS is android 7.1.1 .... help!
