Video Playback on the Nexus 5

Anyone else having trouble playing downloaded HD vidoes on thier Nexus 5?
I'm not sure if its software related, but I've tried a few apps - all with choppy playback. Trying to watch an episode of Eastbound and Down and southpark!

Apps I've tried:
Stock player - freezes
Video Player - crashes on startup
HD Video Player - choppy, sound works good.
MX player - choppy, sound works good

try this vlc player, it plays most formats.

You can use aneesoft video converter to convert your video to other format. It can keep the original quality of the video.
