Viewing email picture attachments

I am using the stock installed email app and if I remember correctly the first time I opened a picture attachment I was given some options with which to open it. I chose something and now all openings give a postage sized thumbnail. How do I change this association so that pictures will fill the screen? TIA John.

In system settings: Settings > Apps > [Photo app that opens by default] > Clear Defaults

Thanks it took me a while to figure out which app was opening the picture but once done your instructions worked a treat. I now have the picture attachments opening as desired.
