This is my first month I have been with VN. My monthly payment due on 15th. They cut off my data connection at 0100 AM on 15th morning and force me to refill it. I just figure this by call them and spoke with the VN rep and he admit it. Right after I refill my account with top up card and I hang up a call from VN rep and now I get my data connection work. What are cheap VN.

TekOne, for a prepaid service, the fact that you can still make phone calls, even if your data is disabled after your monthly billing is up, is PRETTY GOOD. Most prepaid services, such as AT&T and Verizon will both disable all services until the next payment is made. When my bill was up, I had disabled data and texting, but was still able to make calls. When my wife's bill was up, she could still call and text but had no data.

In both cases, Virigin Mobile was far kinder than the other two I mentioned, you should be thankful that they even let you make calls or let your data go to their webpage to top up, they could just as well cut everything off and make you call in your top up.

Pre-Paid means you pay ahead of time.

Don't call someone cheap because you can't pay your bills on time.

I have full d@mn day to pay them. As long as i dont pass time to pay them I still have the right to enjoy the service on that day. My due on 15th, They shut down the service begin of day at 0100 AM moring. I have called then in morning and they toll me to re-activate the phone. They didn't even mention that till i refill the top up card.

Re-read my post for those who posted that i can't pay.

Honestly, the day it is due they have the full right to suspend all services, at midnight. The fact they waited an extra hour was also, another kind deed from them. You are complaining about something that isn't bad at all.

You obviously haven't had much experience with prepaid devices and services, if you are getting upset over something so trivial.

Hell for 25 bucks a month! How could you even call them cheap? In the immortal words of junkyard willie " Pay yo bill and we won't shut you off" LOL I wish all these big companys would follow virgin mobiles example and stop raping people for the price of phone service its rediculous! I mean seriously you should be kissing there ass for giving us a decent service for so cheap! Be grateful cause you never know when a good thing will just disappear! You're paying basically a quarter of what all the others charge! Plus no hidden fees, and extra crap and unlimited data is slowly becoming a thing of the past as well. Think about all the positives this service has to offer over the others! I mean really!

Gee.. bumble of newbie juming my post and barking without read what i was complaint about expect Desmock

I partially agree with Desmock and I have been with Tmobile and AT&T prepaid. Tmoble given till 9PM in pacific time or 1159 Est on that due day to refill account but not AT&T.

For rest another poster, Im complaint cheap to why cant they give couple hours on due day to pay payment. Even in court house, if you pay fines by 4 PM on due day and it still consider pay on time. No one expect to pay at 0100 AM morning. I'll add my credit card and respect they charge on due day.

Another complaint why can't VN rep tell me that they cut off data due to I must pay at 0100 am on the due day. I was calling them numerous times for no data and they keep telling me to re-activate the phone. Another then that, I didnt complaint with $25 with data, txt and 300 min call consider cheap service.

Also.. the next day is the next day, beginning at midnight. There's nothing you can do about that. It's easier to be able to know when your service will expire that way anyway.. If you have so many complaints, why don't you just switch services then?

To Liquidplacidity, do you own VN? Why are you so concern my complaint? Don't respond my thread if you feel comply on complaint. No one ask you. thz

Another point I create thread to point out they can cut off data by midnight that's easiser then what we expected.

Uh.. By posting on this forum, yeah you did ask me.You asked everyone. I agree with poster above. I can't understand you

From what I have read in other forums, and what I believe he means is...

People are not getting their full 30 days of data.

They are getting their 30 days of phone, but only getting 29 days of data.
For some reason, the data is getting cut off on day 29.

Seems to happen to people at random, and you can call in and get it restored from what I have read.

Well, if you pay for 30, and only get 29... Then I would complain also. More so, if it happens frequently every month. That would get a little annoying.

Technically, 29.1 or whatever the decimal would be for an hours worth of a day. Anyways, it's not a huge issue to complain about, as it's still basically a whole month and you still have your other services. You want data? Just pay on the day you're supposed to, end of story.

Well, if it's due the 15th, payment is expected to be made on the 15th. It's not like the DMV where you can drive your car around until the last day of the month registration expires. Besides, it's prepaid. Don't pay, you get cut off.
Picture it like a school report that's due. You'll still be docked a grade if you hand it in on the due date AFTER class.
There seems to be confusion as to when the actual cut-off date is, whether it's the day BEFORE the due date or AFTER. But in terms of getting 29 days of data and not 30 is understandable.

However, I couldn't find anything on the main pages of the VM site as to how many days you actually get in "a month." I see $xx/month info. But nothing about 30 days. VM never explicitly defined what they mean by "a month."

There is obviously some confusion here, but that does not justify the OP calling V"M" (not "N", unless you are on VirginNoobie) cheap. Without seeing his billing statement, none of us can make a judgement here. Perhaps he was a day late, perhaps not, perhaps it was a mistake on VM's part, perhaps not.

I have used VM for 6 years now, and have never had an issue with any services being cut off early. This plan and phone have been out for a few months now, and this is the only post I've seen mentioning anything like this (and I researched this phone for days before buying it).
