I'm having troubles with voice control over bluetooth in my 2016 Honda Civic Touring.

Basically it doesn't work. When I long-press"talk" button on my steering wheel, I'm getting "This smartphone is not supported" error message. I could receive calls/make calls(through infotainment voice command)/control music. It just won't let me talk to my phone. It worked flawlessly on my iPhone 6+, but it doesn't work on my Note 7, nor my wife's S7. Though, it works via Android Auto. And it looks like for it uses bluetooth to transmit voice commands for Android Auto. Does anybody experience the same issues with bluetooth controls in the car?

Different phones and different card implement Bluetooth differently - there's no standard yet. If you must have a pair that works together, try them out before buying. (My JVC BT adapter does voice calls once they're established - that's all. Since I got it free, I'm not complaining. But the Android Audio I plan to replace it with will be thoroughly checked out before I pay for it.)

Some day Bluetooth will be like 3G or Morse Code - one standard for all. But not today, and not this year.
