Best news all day. Sprint can have it. For us VZ customers, just say "NO" to VZ data channels being clogged with countless reruns of "Friends" and teens incessantly spamming meaningless SMS.

Verizon CEO casts doubt on getting iPhone | Circuit Breaker - CNET News

"A Verizon iPhone is likely to happen at some point--both because it's in Apple's best interest to gain more customers by adding a carrier in the U.S. besides AT&T, and because it wants to keep customers away from Android."

But, but, but... I thought Apple didn't care about market share?

While I'm sure that "keeping customers away from Android" is at the top of the list of things to do, I'm not really sure Apple is all that interested in Verizon just to get people to buy the thing. It's much easier for them to sell iPod Touches rather than iPhone and they don't have to make a whole new phone for that.

Though, it does stand to reason that the recent article stating that over a million people would buy an iPhone on Verizon could be very tempting. That's a lot of phones and a lot of profit to be made.

Im tired of all these Verizon Iphone type posts.

The only reason Apple was making all these CDMA phones was so they could sell them in China which just announced they will be selling the Iphone 4 very soon.

I dont know why soon as everyone heard CDMA iphone they automatically jump and say oh verizon is getting it.

CDMA is not only in America. China along with many South American countries run on CDMA networks so people need to stop jumping the gun.

There might, MIGHT, be a dual LTE/CDMA iPhone come next June. But I doubt it as Apple likes to keep their supply chain simple and efficient. That could change if iPhone sales in the USA top out and Android keeps up its massive rise.
