VZ Navigator pain!

Ever since the update on my phone I have several applications that open automatically and they are draining my battery faster than ever! One of these is VZ Navigator. Who would ever want that on a Droid? I've tried to un-install it along with several other things that keep "popping open" and am unsuccessful. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

The only way to get rid of the pre installed VZ apps it to be rooted and then you cn delete them.
