I have a VZW Samsung Galaxy Nexus and I just started getting into this. I had been having a great time (unlocked bootloader, rooted, etc.), but was having issues with CWM and trying to switch to TWRP. My phone wasn't being recognized as rooted by both GooManager and Titanium Backup. I had installed the correct drivers and adb on my PC, and my main reason was to flash the stock JB, and then having successfully done so. There are so many different ways to go about doing this, so I think I did an amalgamation of steps from different processes. Despite this, everything was running fine on the phone. I then found Wug's toolkit yesterday (was going to back up and attempt to root again, thinking I had done something wrong), and decided I was going to back-up my phone (all apps). I did this using the prompts, and it took quite a while. The phone was showing all of the files/apps (com.facebook.orca, etc.), then was not showing anything but the grey screen from the backup. The result was a 6.5 GB .ab file. At this point, my PC said that a backup was created successfully. I unplugged the phone from my PC and the power button was not working to lock the phone. I dumbly pulled the battery, and now I cannot get the phone to power up. I plug the phone in and the display indicates that there is a full charge. I did all sorts of plugging in and battery pulling from other forums, but this has not brought success. I attempted to turn on the phone using every method possible. I brought the phone to the VZW store and they determined that the power button was not working (obviously). The problem is, they are sending a new one, and want me to mail back the old one. My worry is that if they refurbish this phone, they will find that I unlocked the bootloader, voiding the warranty. Obviously, I'd like to get this phone working again and not deal with a new one. The least I need to do is get this phone unrooted and the bootloader locked so that there is no chance of me getting charged back for the phone should I send it back. Apologies for the length of this message, I am just a worried newbie. Note: there is no water damage and I did not drop or do anythign physical to this phone. Any help is greatly appreciated.
