That's the thing... I don't know if I will. Plus, I like to change phones out quickly but being tied down to a bill credit might be a good thing for me ha.

I did the same. Was going to wait for Black Friday deals but once I heard the BF deals were no better or only benefitted new accounts or added lines, I went in last night and did the 50% off for trading in my LG6.

Been setting it up and playing with it between Turkey day preparations. Absolutely loving it. (Panda 2XL)

It was for me. About 43% off. I was looking to switch to unlimited anyway. I did ask if it would also be $100 off on the 25-26th, but customer service told me that this deal ends at midnight Black Friday and the new deal starts Saturday.

No regrets on the 50% deal. I know it entailed a trade, but nearly $500 for an LG6 is crazy good. I'm going to try to make this be my phone for at least one year, which will be a stretch cause I'm sure I have the same phone-jumping sickness many of you all have.

I agree, I think it is dumb their deals force you to pick unlimited. That is why I picked mine up yesterday while they still had the deal for 50% if you trade in a S7 and it didn't require me to pick an unlimited plan

If I had more time I would've have acquired a phone to do the 50% deal. Looks like the OG Moto Z Force is the cheapest model you can get on Swappa that was eligible for the 50% discount

Well I got a deal without needing to do unlimited so not everyone or every deal requires it. Glad it doesn't bother you than the current bs deal is perfect for you.

I think it's better to go through Google with their Synchrony Bank financing. Can't beat 24 months with no interest and you aren't forced to either pay in full or pay over 24 months like Verizon and their device payment plan.

My line costs 33 bucks a month. Unlimited talk text and data with 15 GB hotspot.

Sure my bill is higher (technically) but once everyone pays me for their lines my out of pocket is 33 bucks. This is with my MIL discount. .

That doesn't make it not dumb. For me, it means I am am sticking with AT&T and going with the S8. Because I can get a great deal on that phone at Target.

And in terms of price, if we are looking at Verizon, I'd have no problems with the 5gb plan which is $20 less than there unlimited plan. And my current non-unlimited plan from AT&T is also much cheaper.

(I have no need for a multi-line plan. My wife is on Sprint and has no interest in leaving, and I have no interest in Sprint)

I never said it doesn't make it dumb. I just said "I don't think it is dumb" since all carriers do it. That is just my personal opinion.. It doesn't make yours invalid. I was just pointing out that all carriers do it. They all want you to be on their latest and greatest plan. It isn't new and hasn't been for a long time.

You're welcome to disagree. For me .. unlimited is cheaper then your limited plans. That is how carriers work .. They vary greatly on a persons needs.
