I noticed Amazon is no longer a seller of this fast charger (maybe they got too many preorders or something). It's still listed by a 3rd party seller, but not by Amazon.com directly. My order does not have a shipping date now, so it looks like that 8/31 release date may have indeed been a placeholder? I'll report back if mine actually ships, but as of early 8/31, there's no ship date in sight.

Yup, you're right. No ship date. It originally said 'the item will bill released on the 31st' Now it says "preparing my order."

Yes, the official samsung fast charging one. The only thing is, the chargers I purchased are from Korea, so the power cord requires an adapter to work here in the states. The person I purchased them from included the adapters and it works perfectly. You can also use the charging cord that was included with the phone and fast charging still works. The seller also gives the option to purchase the fast charging pad by itself, you would just need to use the fast charger that came with your phone for it to work. I'm not home, but I will post pictures when I get home.

The ones being sold directly from Amazon are now reading "1-to-3 months" for availability. The third-party seller at Amazon still reads Sept. 8-11.

On Samsung they list 1 local reseller, sears. Sears lists it but it's sold through another reseller.

It says estimated arrival Sept 15th

I got an email update from my order with Amazon and it says delivery between September 30 and November 10. Wow, thanks for narrowing it down Amazon! Guess Samsung is fulfilling other markets before ours like usual.
