Then this is what youll need.

Optimus V ZV9 Update

1. download this file to root of sdcard.

2. reboot phone into bobzhomw recovery for optimus v,other recoveries can brick you using the zv9 update.

3. Select install zip.

4. upon reboot you will be returned to stock updated state with no root or custom recovery.

there are other threads on this subject but the links redirect for some on particular browsers and does not redirect for others on other browsers. i think the problem occurs because some of us including myself have been directly linking the zv9 update without using the message tools input function. this should work for any browser.

Just thought it should be noted that cwmt and multi rom recovery will brick the phone if you do this. I'd only recommend bobzhome recovery for this purpose. There are others that are ok also but I know it's ok with bobz

Tapatalk'n it from my VM670 running Kool-Blue_2.3.3_V2.3 on LS670ZVJ Baseband

Note: If you are using ANY recovery other than bobzhome's clockwork mod,you will brick. You will need to either flash over bobzhome recovery for optimus v or find another means to revert.

thanks wraith for the info.

well. restoring to stock via zv9 is a straightforward and simple method if done properly. it amounts to 3 steps at most if you are using bobzhome recovery. as for other recoveries bricking when using zv9. i always considered that a flaw in their recovery, not zv9. as for preferences...people can try what they wish. i could care less.

You don't have to use the e-mode method....you could start while booted up or in recovery.....

If you start from booted up, it gives you the option to upgrade then it's just two clicks and your stock.
