You can always try re-installing the drivers. Rebooting the PC or even trying a different USB port.

yeah i have installed and uninstalled several times. I know the us port works cause that's how i load my mp3 player.

No reason... I'm just lazy lol The only difference between 1.8.1 and 1.8.5 is kejar fixed the swype issue. I never use swype, so I never flashed the latest version. The version in the link I posted up above is 1.8.5 even though it says 1.8.

Well dang. Not really sure what to tell ya other than try doing a search on the forums. More than likely, someone has encountered the same issue you are facing now and found a fix for it.

Wifi works great. I don't use the Mobile Hotspot application. I use another application for tethering.

My computer doesn't do any thing when I plug my phone into via the USB cable.

What usb wire are you using to connect the phone? Make sure its the oem wire that came with your phone and not some random wire. I had a similar issue and it turned out to be the wire.

Yes it is the wire that i use to charge the phone. The one right out of the box.
