Was your Nexus 7 defective or in Perfect condition?

Mine is absolutely perfect. This is probably due to the fact that the 8 GB model is much sturdier than the 16 GB build. I kid I kid, wanted to express my frustration with all the 8 GB hate.

I have noticed recently that my screen has a little refresh black line appear for a second every once in a while. Doesn't happen that often and it's slim but noticable.

And 21st, this time with NO defects. The serial number was a C70 in the beginning, all the previous ones were C60 something. Crossing my fingers and will update later on today.

Got mine at Walmart today and was in perfect order....

Holy Moley, man. After 5 or 10 (or less) it may have been more prudent to wait a couple months for the second batch. Going through 2 a day seem a little much.

Got mine today from Office depot, has one dead pixel on the notification bar, but it honestly doesn't bother me and i doubt i will take it back.

Oh God! Now I'm scared! I just ordered my 16g version on Thursday from the Google Play store...

I'm praying I get a non-defective model but these numbers are seriously freaking me out... :(

*quietly praying to the Gadget Gods*

Both had a white washed out look... Not for me. After my refund I'm getting the Samsung galaxy...

Between my family and I, I've had 4 in hand. The first two were from the 1st batch, the other two were from the 2nd. The first unit we received had screen rise that was so minute that I'd never have noticed it if not for this site. Other than that, all are 100%, and continue to be after countless hours of use.

I did note that the units from the 2nd batch seemed to be slightly brighter, and I found the color accuracy of their displays to be just slightly better (not that those from the 1st batch looked bad at all).

I'm loving mine. No issues whatsoever here. Very solid tablet

More perfect than either of the tablets I had before this one.. ...never had to return any.

For those of you judging the quality of this tablet from this thread. ..don't. B its nature, this thread is designed to attract those with complaints. If you want an objective analysis, check out the user reviews on Amazon. Even though they've overpriced it, it gets 4 1/2 stars out of five.. ...better than any other Android tablet.

I'm so happy i bought the 16GB Nexus 7! Couldn't be any more happier, just waited 2 days for shipping, and got here safe and working 100 percent without any defects. Nexus 7 = BEAST!!

Perfect condition (so far). About 24 hours with it. No noticeable defects.

If you people are doing multiple returns because you can manage to slide your fingernail into the seam on the left side of the case or because you're scrutinizing a screen tester app for any sign of backlight bleed, you need to take a Xanax... seriously.

I challenge you double digit n7 returners to document these problems with some photos and post them here as evidence. I'm betting the majority of these issues are people being just a little OCD.

I got my n7 from the google pre-order and reading this thread would make it seem that I've won the n7 lottery by receiving a 'worthy' unit on my first try! I've got a buddy at work who just ordered the 16gb and is worried now that he's going to somehow receive a piece of garbage from reading posts like these. I'm calling BS until I see some photos documenting the severity of these problems.
Plenty of people have posted photos here and xda. Are some of the posts bs? I don't know. I am about to be on my third tomorrow. I'll check the screen lift outside the store, and take it back immediately. Right now, it's not that big a deal to be honest. It isn't causing any problems really. However, I don't want to have it for six months and the problems get worse, etc.

Objective analysis from Amazon? I don't think so. I'd give it 5 stars out of actual use that I've done with it, and 3.5 out of quality of the build at this point.

Objective analysis from actual amazon customers?! Crazy talk!
