Was your Nexus 7 defective or in Perfect condition?

Got my 16GB in the mail 3 days ago. "Perfect" condition until the second day of ownership the speakers decided to start crackling. RMA has been completed and will be receiving a second one. So freakin' bummed out.

This kind of thing makes me wonder how many of these will start having problems after a few months of use.

Mine seems fine after a week, except for one small "defect": an extra 8GB.

I ordered and paid for an 8GB device (that arrived in Alaska less than 48 hours after ordering), but it has 16GB.

Also going to give this a shot. Screen lift was pretty bad when my unit arrived. I just pushed it back in and it hasn't 'popped' back out since then. It is however, still slightly lifted on the left side (only noticeable if you look super closely). Definitely some creaking though..which is rather annoying.

Will post updates if I have time.

I preordered on 6/28 and received it last Friday. After a week I have no hardware issues at all. The only thing I've noticed is at times, it searches and searches for a GPS signal, draining the battery while it sits. I just restart it and it's fine after that.

I have a 16 GB, and it's in perfect condition (well other than if I don't have it in a well ventilated spot, then it gets hot then it slows down.. (don't leave it on a bed, couch, etc when not in use)), but otherwise it works great.

Iv had 2 both with raised glass purchased from hmv UK even the one on show in the shop had the screen lift, decided to get a refund and wait for them to sort this problem out. my girlfriend also ordered one from tesco which also has raised glass , there sending her a replacement tomoz, chances are that will have the same problem.so that's 3 faulty devices not got much hope for the 4th, hope they sort this out soon
