Was your Nexus 7 defective or in Perfect condition?

Perfect condition from Walmart three days ago. I am pleased, very pleased. I had to switch to this part of the forum and have really learned lots - thanks everyone. My phone is a Sammy Charge and with that being said here is three comments. First it is a wonderful change going to JB for GB and it is a learning process. The screen on the N7 is not as bright and vivid as the Charge but I fully expected that and that is not an issue. Third, my Charge goes digital with fax like squeals (its my second one for the same issue) on a average of 4 times a week and the only way to stop it is to do a battery pull (ending a call will not do it because the next call it will return). So naturally I have this desire or habit to do a battery pull on the N7 but it has to even try and burp on me. It is one smooth machine.

My 16gb arrived Tuesday from Play store, the left hand side of the screen is slightly lifted towards the middle, I can push it down back down but it always finds itself back up where it was. Not a huge deal for me but I think I'm going to call Google to see what's up because I can see this getting irritating after awhile.

what is your model or series number thank you

Are there some Nexus that are defective that are still being sold today? I'm planning to buy one.

Should I choose this or Samsung galaxy tab 2 7.0? why

The Tab 2 never really grabbed me like the Nexus 7 did. I think the tradeoff would be acquiring a micro SD card slot while losing a substantial amount of processing power vs the Nexus 7. I personally love the Nexus 7, and I wouldn't hesitate to buy one today. That said, if you see an issue, return it asap... it's not worth dealing with ASUS and their poor excuse for a warranty. I'm currently fighting with them about a repair... I can't say I would wish this headache on anybody.

It's possible, but I dont think nearly as likely as it was when they released. Just give it a quick once over and return it if anything seems blatantly wrong. Let us know how it works out!

And I'd definitely go with the Nexus over the GT2.0.

My 8GB from Play Store seems to have the screen issue. It creaks a bit on the left side. Not a serious issue, but it's still annoying.

Cracked screen right off the bat, just a week after purchase. And no, it wasn't dropped. Anybody else had that prob?

I purchased two 8GB N7's three days ago, one is C60, the other C70. Both perfect. I downloaded the screen test and all that and this is my fourth (and fifth) tablet so I would know if something was wrong with them.

I've purchased two and both have had some slight screen lift on the left side. I think I may try to exchange the second one at Walmart before trying Google.

Where did it crack at? The left side? I have read 2 or 3 others having it crack. One person noticed it when woke up in the morning after setting it on nightstand. Another said they just walked to the car, put in on the seat then thought there was a hair on it, but it was a crack. Posts are around here or there somewhere.

My 16GB tablet recently have the pop sound when the speaker is turned on/off. It also have backlight bleeding on the left side since I had it... Asus QA is shocking
