We have AT&T S7 Edge Nougat (Update: OTA out)

Re: We have AT&T S7 Edge Nougat

Few small things I noticed:
-Auto brightness is much smoother now
-Battery life SEEMS to be better, but to early to call right now
-Wi-Fi seems more responsive now. For example, it won't try to hang on to signal in areas where there is none in my work building.
-Quick reply and new multi-window are awesome

Re: We have AT&T S7 Edge Nougat

I was part of the Beta and Im wondering if they added any new Note 7 features to the Final release Besides the maintenance area/Blue screen filter and notification pulldown tray

Re: We have AT&T S7 Edge Nougat

This update is pretty sweet! Some initial impressions:
- Install was easy and pretty quick... maybe 30 minutes
- Everything looks great. I haven't found anything not working (even wifi calling works)
- Phone is buttery smooth. Animations are like the Note 7, but maybe a tad faster.
- Built in apps/UI are are slight updates to those on the Note 7, and a little nicer in some places (e.g., pulldown notification panel is more polished)&

Your correct Wi-Fi calling works like it should now stays on all day at house , while in lollipop it wasn't working the way it should.
I think you convinced me to download the update. I have next to zero service at home and wifi calling has always been spotty. Having stable wifi calling would be huge for me.

Installed the update and everything went incredibly smooth! Wi-Fi calling is now working consistently, this really saved my phone! Thank you so much for posting this thread.

Was going to wait, but I'll go ahead and give this a try . Hopefully everything goes smooth. It took me 4 tries to get the mm update on my note 5. I don't even remember what I did to finally get it to work.lol

OK I'm slow and I have questions. After I put the file on my SD card to update do I put the SD card in my phone or leave it in the computer ? After I reboot my phone into recovery mode when do I plug my phone to the computer? Why does the instructions say at the end to repeat all the steps after I've updated on the phone ? I've done this before , but I can't remember how I did it. Lol

No has to be in sdcard in phone so basically the file needs to be renamed to something like update.zip or software.zip , has to have the .zip at end that way when you go into recovery you select install by sdcard apply sdcard update in recovery, let it do it's thing , be patient will take about 15 to 20 minutes.

The instructions are very clear on XDA.

Re: We have AT&T S7 Edge Nougat

Some have indicated here that release will update OTA when it comes out. Over on XDA they are saying we'll have to downgrade to MM and get the N update OTA. Can anyone clarify why they think the release will come in over the beta?

Re: We have AT&T S7 Edge Nougat

Everything installed and working. Thanks again for the help and answering my questions (even if they might be deemed silly by some lol) .
How do u know which version to install from that list?
