Haven't spent much time with my S10 plus yet but the one thing I did notice while restoring a bunch of stuff last night was that the wifi signal seams weak. At least when detecting any networks other than my own. Every other wireless device I have whether it be a tablet laptop or phone, has no issue detecting multiple networks around me. Anyone else experience this so far?

Are you going off "bars"? If so that may be why. Bars are a bad way to judge signal from device to device since each device will calculate bars differently. You would have to check the actual signal dBm (usually with an app).

Wifi signal tends to correlate with bars. Carrier data is where dBm is pertinent.

Incorrect --- You can very much so get an app and view the actual -dBm signal of a WiFi connection just like you can do for a cell signal. The only difference is you can go into the phones system settings on most phones to see the -dBm for the cell signal without an app.. It is actually very common for signal to be displayed this way.

For example I use corporate equipment at home for my switch/router/Wireless AP and as you can see (below) it shows the neighbor APs that it has seen and clearly displays the -dBm signal from their AP to mine. That is because -dBm is used to measure cell/wifi signals.

I'm not referring to the amount of bars but rather the amount of available networks that are shown. It shows mine and that's it, not the 6-8 others that are around me. I haven't fully set up and swapped my SIM card yet so I don't know if that's effecting it or not. Every other device shows all the networks around me which is strange that the S10 doesn't

Is it showing that once on the network or before you connect to the network?

s10e snapdragon north america. I noticed today the same. If you download any? 3rd party wifi manager you'll see all available networks. I have exactly the same problem. Installed wifi manager app. Can see all 20-30 networks in my area, like any other phone i have. With 10e it only shows 3-4 (strongest). Problem is i don't want to run any 3rd party app when the phone should be able to see all available networks just as good. Especially that the battery in 10e feels more like 1500-2000mA, not 3100. Even after customizing and disabling packages. I have wifi manager app in my other phones with 4500mA batteries. It doesn't make any difference but for 10e it does. Besides for the money i paid i expect it to be flawless. Now i have to go back to the store to test it. Also i tried going outside and the phone picked up many more networks, but still nothing like the app or my other phones. Detected 10-12 maybe, when other phone picked up 30+. Connection itself once it acquires signal automatically is very fast and strong. I can't complain. It's definitely not a hardware problem but the Pie. If you contact scumsung they'll tell you to reset network settings, then factory reset. Save your time don't do it. It won't help. Restarting in safe mode made zero difference.

I'm experiencing great WiFi range and speed, especially in the 5ghz band. Way better than the Mate Pro and the Xs Max. And def better than the Pixel 3XL which is incompatible with my Google WiFi setup lol (Evey time I switch on wifi in the Pixel, the whole network goes down)

I'm experiencing the exact same issue on the brand new S10e bought a week ago.
An LG G6 can pick up ~10 wifi networks while the S10e only sees 1-2.
As for speed, first impression was that the S10e gets higher speeds (35mbps) while the G6 gets 25mbps when in the same location.

It looks like the S10 just doesn't show networks with signals lower than -75dBm

I have the same problem on my S10+ as well. It seems to not detect wifi at all when signial's low.

I'm not sure but I know to get my Roku and some older phones and tablets could not detect my router so I have to set it to 2.4GHz instead of 5.0 GHz. Not sure if that will help you.
