Monticello, the estate of Thomas Jefferson. An absolute must if you ever are in Charlottesville, Virginia. The house and property are amazing.

The picture was taken with my EVO 4g LTE, stock camera app and the photo is completely unedited.

2 additional facts. Jefferson and his wife lived in the tiny building in the right of the photo until the main house was completed. Also the small pond to the right was used to keep fish fresh after being caught but before they were cooked and served for dinner.

Virginia is a secret weapon for tourists....so much history. Appomattox, Washington's Mt. Vernon, the Confederate White House, Williamsburg...
Another little known Jefferson fact is that after Monticello was famous, he often went to another plantation for privacy--the Poplar Forest. Back in the day, no phones, no telegraphs, no email, people just showed up at your house and expected to be greeted fed, and sometimes housed. There also weren't many hotels in rural areas. Jefferson attracted a crowd--and was often distracted. So, he would flee to Poplar Forest. This was closed for a long time but opened to the public a few years back. Frankly, but for the fact it exists, it is nowhere near as interesting as Monticello.

Probably not as well taken as most of you guys on here, but this was taken from the top of the Teleferica Cable Car in Benalmadena, Spain. There's a great bird of prey sanctuary there too :D

Image not edited by me but there's the possibility that Google+ may have enhanced it as i've had to pull the image from there. Taken on an HTC One with no filters.

Apologies for the bins ruining the shot ;)
