Welcome to the Nexus S 4G! Please introduce yourselves here.

Salutations....

Was debating between this or the epic 4g touch ...decided to roll with the vanilla... coming from and evo 4g that went above and beyond ...but o have no doubt this phone will let me down

Hi all
I'm just starting forum talk and need help on a couple things like 4g toggle and bad signal issues. Any help would be accepted

Aloha. I've migrated here from precentral.net as I was previously an owner of a palm pre. I've had my Nexus S for a week now and definitely dig it. All the cool little bells and whistles the pre had the Nexus S does, and more, and I haven't even scratched the surface. The only thing it doesn't do, which I found out is now a Google issue, is it won't sync my facebook contacts and I will find a way around that. Love being a site where things are taking off rather than winding down. LOVED webOS but the hardware was definitely an issue...

Hello there, my name is J Rich and I'm from MI. I have recently migrated from Blackberry to Android, so far I am pleased with everything. From the BB 8330 to Samsung Nexus S has been quite the switch, I am soaking it all in as quickly as I can....:) Just learned how to manual update the software in the forum and am trying to understand the "root" process next. Any advice would be greatly appreciated! :-!

Hey everyone!! Picked up a Nexus S over the weekend and finally found an Android device I really like. I came from the world of crackberry, but previously had a rooted Hero and EVO. I'm pretty happy with vanilla OS, lets see how long I last without rooting or switching to another device.

Nexus S battery life is so much better than the EVO and Hero. 10hrs with moderate-heavy use and only down to 30%.

Tried google wallet today and the look on the clerk and customers faces was priceless!!

Kinda upset with the 3G and Wifi performance. Thought it would be fixed by now, considering this phone is a few months old.

Not sure if this is what you mean but I know Sprint is upgrading their network in anticipation of the iPhone and it's been wreaking havoc with their service. I just upgraded to the Nexus S and I'd had the same problem with my previous phone. Hoping it gets better very soon...

Welcome to the Nexus S 4g , Gunner. Glad to have you apart of the community:)

Hi! Just got my NS4G Saturday. So far lovin' it. Unlocked bootloader and rooted as soon as I got home. Right now I'm on updated stock rooted ROM. So far I am enjoying the clean slate. This is the fourth Android device I have unlocked and rooted. Look forward to getting to know you all :)

Same with me. They had to pry my pre from my still warm and alive hands but it was still brutal. I've had mine about two weeks now and love it. It's a lot of fun, and I haven't even tried rooting it yet. Anyway, welcome!

@CarrieK, were you also on phandroid? You look familiar from the Optimus Forums... lol.

Anyway, I'm Jessica, just got the Nexus on Saturday, unlocked and running CM7. Nice to meet a new crowd, and looking forward to getting familiar with the Nexus.

Hi all, I just received my Nexus S yesterday. I'm coming from a Palm Pixi.

I'm enjoying the huge screen, android market, and talk to text/search option. I can't wait to explore this phone more.

I'm waiting on a case and screen protector that I ordered from Amazon, so trying not to injure my phone in the first 72 hours:p

Yup, one and the same! We still have the Optimus on one of our lines. My main line is the EVO 3D and the Nexus S is our business line. My husband has the EVO 4G. Lol, I have four Android devices to play with! My husband just shakes his head at my obsession but gets to reap all the benefits :D Great to see you Jessica!
