It's more involved when trying to install 7.0 from the Beta.... Number one when the update comes out you will have to uninstall the Beta 7.0 through Odin and reinstall the carrier one. If you don't do this then you won't get updates for your apps and every thing else... I also haven't seen any methods using just a SD Card for the zip file. Everything on YouTube I seen involves Odin... I don't suggest doing this because you can brick your phone. So until I see a safe way of doing this, and getting the right zip file easily I won't do this... I tried finding the zip file for Sprint and every topic I looked at involved Odin....

As for Samsung delaying the Update, it's bull**** now. It's been many months and the update should have been out in November. it's totally insane. The reasons I want the update is for the better battery manager options, better AOD, the way it looked, and many other features that are not available on Marshmallow...

I have sideloaded nougat and I can tell you it's not buggy, so for the delay to occur is inexcusable. It's quite an improvement from marshmallow so I'd be frustrated as well. Many of us techies want the latest and greatest on their devices. I mean we spend $700+ dollars on these devices. Apple, Google, and Motorola all come out with timely updates except Samsung. It's a big downfall for the company and I'm starting to steer away from buying Samsung devices.

Seems there is something in Nougat that has caused issues for some OEMs.

Most have been late with it.

just had an update on my s7 edge this morning hoping it would fix the message preview problem but it hasn't , instead its stuck a facebook app onto my homescreen, more crap built in now and no way of removing it, not everyone uses that rubbish

Android needs updates like Apple does no reason waiting for updates to come out. Apple sends out updates to almost every device with no issue.

That's why I am done with Samsung. Only Pixel from here on out.

I went back to my pixel BC I got tired of Samsung....So happy with the pixel. The s7 edge has so many pros over the pixel but they aren't significant enough to me to triumph over the software experience and battery life of the pixel.

I downsized to the regular pixel and love the size, I'll never buy a note. Too big for me.
