Since the logon screen keeps nagging me to say Hi:

I've had my Verizon GNex for a couple of months, and was a droid/droid2 owner before that, and a Blackberry guy, and Motorola smartphone-of-some-kind, and etc. back to the PDAs of the past.

I'm thinking about surrendering my Geek Card, since I can't decide whether to root or not ... especially since I had to un-root to get 4.0.4 OTA. After years of poking around "under the hood" of every electronic device I owned, I'm finally getting to the point where I'm just not sure it's worth the hassle any more.

Now, if I can just figure out a way to un-couple my ringer and notification volumes ....

Welcome to the Android Central forums. Well if you're considering whether to root, there are custom ROMs that allow you to set ringer and notification volumes separately.
