We've got the HTC 10 and we're answering your questions right here!

Hello everybody,
I am new here in forum.
My question is how does the sound quality of htc 10 via headphones if we compare it to sony xperia z3 or z5 high resolution audio?
Which one is better i am confused between sony and htc sound quality via headphones which will be a decision for me to buy a phone as i am a audiophile person.
Any help would be great.

That Howard's Forum photo while accurate doesn't mean the HTC 10 screen is dim. It is fine in my real world use. Maybe not as bright as some other phones at full brightness but unless you compare them side by side it's not an issue. The screen just looks great in real world use.

The vertical polarization I found surprising but I'm working around it so far.

Incidentally, no one except me ever mentioned USB OTG support, so I'll answer my own question: yes it is supported.

So I take it the fingerprint scanner will also turn the screen on? Sort of like how the Nexus 6p works? Or do you have to hit the power button and then unlock with fingerprint?

Re: We've got the HTC 10 — and we're answering your questions right here!

It seems that the screen of my unlocked HTC 10 has a slight pink hue to it. Has anyone else noticed this on your phone? Is this a hardware issue or a software issue? (I'm hoping software :-\) Thanks!

How is one handed use, obviously dependant on hand size but still?

I feel the HTC 10 is a tad bigger than I'd like it to be.

Especially after handling the Huawei P9

One-handed use feels a little uncomfortable to me personally. After putting an incipio case on it, however, it feels extremely comfortable and secure.

You can customize this in the fingerprint settings. You can have the option to touch the fingerprint scanner to wake it up, which kinda renders the double-tap wakeup feature useless.

Would anyone happen to know why I keep getting a storage unavailable message when trying to download a picture off of the native messages app? Interestingly enough, Google messenger works just fine

Might want to check the storage permission setting in Settings>apps>messenger

Still didn't work....formatted the SD card to be read as internal and gave the messages app all the permissions it could have and still saying "storage is unavailable", wtf?!?! Find it hard to believe I'm the only person it is doing this to

Update: Moved right to SMS/MMS category and now it worked....hmmm, what was all that about?

Hey, just upgraded to the HTC 10 from the m8. I am really disappointed they don't have "HTC gallery" available on this phone. How can they promote the camera on this phone so much, and do away with the editing? Google photos is not a comparison. I loved the Face Fusion in gallery, as it provided many hours of amusement. I really hope they make this available on the 10. I don't care about the "one gallery" that involved cloud services.

Hi Alex, I upgraded from the M8 - lost the HTC Music app - I know I can use Google Play or a host of d/l apps but I loved the native Music app - any way to get it back on the HTC 10?

Cheers, Saltpan.

Hi guys,

I got the HTC 10 last week. I noticed that when i switch (or the coverage of 4G is weak) to 3G and i start using any app or browser, the phone does not switch to HSPA +. It always sends and receive data while having the "H" sign rather than "H+".

is it a setting problem? or a carrier issue?

NB that the 4G works perfectly.
