We've got the LG G3, you've got questions...

I just purchased an lg g3 and was wondering what is the best way to condition the battery? The first day to battery life was terrible, is that usual? Will the battery life get better as it conditions? And what can I do to increase the life?

Doesn't work on my phone. Are you rooted? Could you take a screenshot showing it? Some weird setting?

Not rooted, I don't see anything in the settings where it could be turned on... Have you restarted your phone recently?

So you have the red underlining of spelling errors on an LG G3? Could you take a screenshot to show me what it looks like? Just spell a word wrong and take a screenshot showing the red underlining.

Most G3 owners say they do not have it even with google keyboard. It's got to be some setting. Probably in languages and keyboard. Nobody at LG nor VZW could explain how to make it work. Most posters say it doesn't but a few like you show it does. Baffled.

Typing my replu . I mean reply. Not sure why I have red underlines (see attached)... I use Google keyboard set to US English... Scoured the options and preferences... Couldn't see any tweaks.

OK, would you show me screenshot of your google keyboard settings? Maybe I will see something different than mine.

Thought I would start with these two screens. One is for dictionary the other is for text correction. Both under settings for google keyboard.

I am on Bell in Canada, and I have that red underline feature as well. I am using SwiftKey as my default keyboard. I think it is an LG feature. When you stop typing after a red underline, it will present you with a bunch of options to change the underlined word. Pretty neat. 😎

This would be frustrating. One post I saw elsewhere said that his fix was to install Google keyboard. This then triggers a new option under "Language and Input" called "Spelling correction" which you need to check off. This then its the red line feature for any keyboard you decide to use ie ( not just Google keyboard)

This seems almost too simple to be true but thought I would post anyways just I in case you haven't downloaded the official Google keyboard. (As I type this I'm not feeling like getting out of this box to scroll back)

Thanks but I do have google keyboard and do have spell checking checked off. It sounds to me like it is somehow an issue at Verizon since not one verizon unrooted user has come forward to say they can get this to work. Two different non VZW users DO have the feature. Strange because VZW sells Motorola phones that have this feature yet I couldn't get a single sony, htc, samsung, no lg to do it at the store. I was able to install google keyboard in all of them but no luck with red underline feature. I am committed (in my mind) that my next phone must have this feature so it is a big deal to me. I would much rather buy an LG G4 than Motorola (single radio ugh) but it seems the feature is disabled in all but Motorolas at VZW
