We've got the LG G3, you've got questions...

Is the red underlining of spelling errors still there? Samsung had to remove it from their phones due to Apple lawsuit. It is a function I really need.

Can you customise text message tones to enable you to assign different message tones for different contacts so you know who has texted you just from the sound? You can on the Samsung phones but I couldn't figure out a way of doing it on the G2.

Hi there....
I am planning on getting the g3 from at&t..would you please confirm if the 32gb/3gb model be available with this carrier.. Also.. Would the model have wireless charging feature?

Can you see the screen with polarized sunglasses on? What angle/orientation does it black out? Thanks!

I'm very interested in this question too. I thought all phone LCD's were polarised for portrait mode based on my experience, until I read the M8 was polarised for landscape. May seem trivial, but I use my phone tons in daylight, and it may come to little things like this that sway me between something like this and the M8.

Have no issues with g2 screen and my Oakley polarized glasses
I came here today to see if this exact issue was addressed. It will not work in my car holder if unreadable in portrait mode.

Good to know, but with the new screen I think we are all a little worried. Myself included, it's tough taking pics with polarized sunglasses on

The call quality on the G2 is horrible and the headphone volume is abit low, are these better on the G3 and how does this compare to the htc one m7 which is the best i've used when it comes to sound quality.

Alex I now most have asked about speaker quality... But I'm curious.. How is speaker quality on a call?

I want to know if it's easy to add contacts to other accounts than Google from the dialer. My HTC One S won't let me do that easily. I use my Outlook.com for contacts so it's important to me that it works. Could probably do it with third-party dialer, but I would rather not.

Was just reading your HTC M8 Two Months On article and noticed you did have a Nexus 5. You commented that you got roughly double the usable battery in the HTC. How would you compare the camera and battery on the G3 to the Nexus 5? Camera 20% better? Battery 50% better?

This is from one the website I came across ndtv.com

When the 'Kill Switch' feature is activated, the McAfee Mobile Security lock screen disables the factory resets and any kind of rooting attempts on the handset and asks for a password, all of which can be controlled by the user via either the device or the web console. Antivirus, data backup, remote lock and wipe, and remote tracking are all available through the McAfee app for five years at no cost.

sadly my lg g3 has a little scratch on it's laser autofocus, will it affect the performance of focusing? :'( I really need to be relieved :(

Well, just received my G3 today and I'm in the process of buying new shades since someone stole my old ones, but I still have the clip-on Polaroid lenses lying around from before I got my laser eye corrective surgery, so I tried those while looking at the G3 just to be sure (read it works fine with polarized lenses, but you can never be too sure, right?).

Well, I can confirm it looks just fine, both in horizontal and landscape though it's night now, so haven't done a full noon bright sunlight test, but the screen is ever so slightly polarized making landscape a little bit darker, but I kept rotating my phone back and forth for minutes to see if I was imagining it or if it was real, so it's not a big difference (I use landscape mode for Navigation myself as of late, but either would probably due, really). Seems this aspect should play no part in your decision between the M8 and G3 then, since they are similar in this respect, at least to orientation of polarization.

I have held the HTC One for a while, which is pretty much identical on the outside to the M8 and my own G3 and the G3 is feather light, better screen & camera, replaceable battery (HTC One has the lowest repair rating by iFixit.com of any phone ever, doubt the M8 is any different) and I'm enjoying my 128GB microSD card, the hand-fitting curvature and especially the knock-on/off feature. M8 ain't premium with a case on anyway and if weight makes for a premium feel, then I'll prefer a phone that I can strap on my arm while running and that won't pull down my loose Bermuda shorts :p

I will buy the polarized glasses now, since I already ordered some much cheaper non-polarized ones for ship use anyway - the safety type with impact protection as well for use on deck (radar screens + polarized glasses = black nothing). It also won't be as much of a loss bringing cheaper $20 non-polarized ones on board, should some long-fingered deck hand run off with them - again!

Appreciate the response, but you're a little late for me. I went with the M8, and while it's polarized in landscape, it's not the same width polarization as glasses, so you can mostly see it ok in portrait with minimum distortion. I know you were comparing the original One, but the reports I've read say the M8 is better thanthe G3 for clarity and sunlight viewing. What steered me away is the QHD. The rest of the hardware is about the same as the M8, so I was worried that wouldn't be enough to back up the screen demands for gaming. Again, the reports confirmed my suspicion.

I'll give you that about the battery and repairability, but the M8 does have an external SD slot, is more contoured than the original, and I like a phone with some weight to it. The last part is subjective, but I tend to fumble light phones. I'm loving it anyway. :p

Im in the vzw store. I installed google kb and unchecked auto spell corrections off. I still dont get the red undelined spelling errs?
