Like myself, Im sure hundreds of you all received the latest update and lost a ton of features you used since getting this device! (Oreo I assume?)

Is there no way to return to the "Non Simplified" Layout where we had icons instead of the "List" style within settings?

Loss of larger Text arrival icon indicator?

Less customizable than previous software?

WTF over???

Yes, I realize there is most likely a long thread history elsewhere within the Forum, but if you're reading this I assume this is the same device you have.

Any help is greatly appreciated folks. UGHHHHH. !!

Not sure if its carrier related or country related or what. But I have a Tmobile Note 8, in the US, and have no issues with the update. Loving it actually.

Same here Gunny... I'm with AT&T in the US and have had it since 3/28 and I love it as well! Not sure what "issues" and "lost features" you're speaking of?

I very much miss the customizable icons we had on the settings screen!! That is what I miss the most at the minute.

Almost nothing changed when I installed the update, except the Next lock screen no longer shows my custom wallpaper. Not a major loss, but I did like it.

I can see it removed the ability to add meaningful subject lines to forum topics ;-)

I like the update. I don't recall having customizable icons except with a third party app which you can still do. I don't see anything missing.

Yes, I'm having lots of issues on my TMobile Note 8 after the Oreo update. Random power resets, faster battery drain, notification badge count not showing on certain apps, icon frames around certain apps but not others, Google assistant crashing.

having some issues;

notification badges dont show on ANY apps

theme i had from samsung theme store had a different kind of transition affect between screens, and now it only uses that transition going from home to the next screen then uses standard samsung transition affect when going to 3rd page.

navigation bar at bottom of screen shows in night screensaver mode when docked which makes it too bright to use (did not show before)

Mx Player shows the white navigation bar when watching shows/movies on phone, when before it would switch to all black navigation bar instead of all white.

Some good:

battery life seems to be pretty good
feels faster than it was before

It's just a new operating system you need to get used to you can still do the same thing you just have to know how, welcome to Oreo

I have tmobile too and haven't had resets nor app crashing. I have only had oreo about three days now though so who knows? Those with the issues when did you start oreo

Not sure if it did it before, but now when I'm playing m.k music from my phone through bluetooth to the car, I can view the songs on my AOD display and as I skip songs it updates on point. I like that

Are you guys that are having problems doing a hard reset? I have better battery life and it's faster

I had to clear the cache partition yesterday evening because of lag. Also cleared the saved wifi to fix internet issues. Seems fine now.

I've the At&t updated phone. I don't have these new gifs or stickers in messages that people are speaking of. Also have lost the option for personalized notifications. This was very useful :/
