I use power saver throughout the work day, and keep my brightness all the way down (I keep it this dim when I'm indoors, and crank it up when i go outside). This screen is pretty bright, my eyes adjusted to having it on the lowest brightness setting. I close all my background apps before I lock my phone. I never have data or Wi-Fi on when I'm not using my phone. I keep Wi-Fi on when my phone is charging. Today was the first time my phone dropped to 40% after my work day, but I used it all day today doing Wi-Fi analyzer, using my phone as a monitor to tweak IP cameras (had weak signal as well because it was a stone house, so that strained the battery) and multiple phone calls to my Co workers. Also took many work photos and uploaded them to dropbox today.
Usually my phone is at 70% at the end of the work day

It shouldn't do that with doze. That sounds like a wake lock problem.
Doze should be keeping drain down to 1% or less per hour overnight.
When you do, make sure you unplug it at 100% and run it so we all have a baseline. It throws people off if your numbers are based off of unplugging at 80 or 90%, though with the QC3.0 charger, hitting 100% happens pretty quick.

These are after the first week with the phone
These are after longer amounts of idle times

and this one is after 2 and a half days of light use

I'd say you have to break in the battery first and have Doze do its learning. Took me a week before I was getting results like these, which are pretty good imo.
I lose only about 1-4% per night. How long have you had your phone?
The drain only does that in the night but in the day time it does quite fine
Well, here are my screenshots for the battery doctors Charged until 100% and then unplugged and went to bed. Read a little, then went to sleep. Lost 10% overnight. Then went about my day and was at 16% by 1.30PM. Far from two day battery life, huh Not even 16 hours with almost half sleeping...
Hm your wifi signal seems really low -- I wonder if that may be a cause. Maybe it is powreing up more to keep that signal going. It looks like your cell signal is okay (what does it show under about phone > status for the signal in -dBm?)
Are you using the unlocked model on T-Mobile by any chance?
If so, you are not alone. Something's up there. Should be addressed soon (I hope)
Do you manage all of this manually?
Nice, a reply from my favorite on the podcast
Nope, unlocked European version... So far still struggling to get through the day... (Read: I'm charging at 2 PM)
Those are quite a bit of wakelocks...
Thanks! That's very kind
To satisfy my own curiosity (I'm doing some detective work), Which carrier are you using? I'd like to look at their LTE bands and their frequency.
