What are you disappointed in so far with the GN?

What is a barometer and what would you use it for

I'm ******* disappointed with the lack of ******* information about the ******* Nexus coming to ******* Verizon. Who announces a phone WITHOUT CARRIERS?!!?

The 5,MP camera so far , and as other said technology is not cutting edge. They picked the 1.2ghz chip this days most high end phones coming out with 1.5 chip a year from now 1.2 is gonna be meh. Not everybody rooting and over locking they phone... screen must be gorgeous but they could have kept it at 4.3"... Samsung gs2 Is a little big already.....IMO

For the camera and the chip you can't even say because of marketing purpose Samsung did not allowed google to use a 1.8ghz chip or a 10 MP cam because may samsung going to use it in the future galaxy s3 , the Samsung galaxy s2,has a 8 MP cam and it came out 6 months ago....

We would think they always try to make the next generation phone in this case the nexus to be better in every way, and meaning for example no memory card slot but they always miss something to play with the consumers head
I don't get it...

But why don't we start a thread about FONTS LOL

The only thing that I'm disappointed in is that there's nothing that's obviously revolutionary. So far everything has only been evolutionary.

I thought that the next-gen Nexus "flagship" would revolutionize mobile phones with it's larger HD screen. I also expected ICS to crush iOS5. Right now all of us can say that Apples eggs are in the Siri basket to move 4S phones. For ICS, even WE aren't clear; is it... a larger screen? A faster network (if on Verizon)? A barometer?

ICS and GN are interesting - but not compelling - to most people (especially iPhone users). In the tablet space, there's nothing that goes after the ipad2 directly.

I think that the greatest challenge facing the Android consortium is NOT technical; it's marketing. America wants a clear winner and will go into debt to buy it. So far the winner has been iOS (by media coverage)... but this and the next battles are the ones that matter.

So far, Apple has been lazy with the iPad2 and 4S. I sincerely hope the Android consortium simply out-innovates AND out-markets them in the next 18 months.
Yeah its all about marketing....and even if its that don't make sense with the nexus

I have a cheep samsung phone and the GPS is working fine is this barometer was really necesery to include? I know u don't have the answer..

Most galaxy s phones had issues with GPS. Mine always said unknown when I was indoors. Couldn't even triangulate with towers... sucked bad.

Yes but thats thee past the sg2,is fine anyhow...

I haven't used one, but I heard it had some issues as well... From the Galaxy S II and the iPhone 4s comparison, the GS2 was able to even provide turn by turn directions indoors, so I think its a lot better now.

Sad that the SGS2 is honestly a better phone hardware wise. I can't believe didn't go with the 4470 - much nicer than the 4460 and it should be available.

4470 isn't available until 2012. No one has used the 4460 yet....let's all give it a chance.

I've noticed lots of threads just filling up with why they don't like this or that about the phone. So I figured instead of filling up all the threads with what you're disappointed in, just fill this one up instead.

Think of it as a central point to talk about and discuss what is so disappointing so far about this new Galaxy Nexus.

Keep in mind though, that these specs are just numbers and words on paper. Once it's in your hands you might be more happy than you thought about the hardware.

Anyways...

I say, list what you are unhappy about then talk a bit about it if you want to.

I am disappointed with the GPU/CPU

I would have loved to have seen 1.5ghz on there rather than the oh so common1.2ghz. The upside is that can be adjusted and overclocked soon with kernel updates and the likes.

That's all. Other than that, I think the HW will support ICS quite well thus allowing for a great user experience!

SO FAR, people seem to be not happy with,

Case design
No SD slot
No launch date (in time though)
Verizon Exclusive (a waiting game for everyone else)

where are you getting the info that this phone has gorilla glass?

I'll be happy when I get a solid source stating it has gorilla glass.. because then I will finally know which phone I'm buying.

I was hoping that with ICS losing the physical buttons the bottom bezel would be smaller and the phone would be the same size as a typical 4.3" phone. The overall height at 5" and still have the 4.6" screen would have eliminated some concerns people have with the size. 1/3 of an inch may not seem like much but makes a big difference in the feel of a phone for everyday use.
