What are you remapping bixby to?

Thinking about it is it needed to remap to google assistant given you can say ok google and hold down on the on screen home screen button to access google assistant?

Have mine set to open Sound Profile right now so I can select between my Silent, Quiet, Normal, and Loud profiles.

I thought I read that it couldn't be remapped to Google Assistant. How did you do this?

The method is covered in the below AC article. It was added after the article was originally written I believe, and you'll have to scroll down to the heading "There's now a way to remap the Bixby button to launch Google Assistant". The short version is that someone on XDA compiled an apk that you can side load and once installed, you can point to it as your Bixby button press option and that in turn opens Google Assistant. It's more seamless than it sounds.

Set mine to run my "Good Night" Bixby routine. It turns my living room lights off, turns my bedroom lamp on, & turns on Do Not Disturb mode on my phone. I have a few routines set up, but this is my most frequently used one.

I'm in the minority here but I like Bixby. I use it completely different than Google Assistant. Both compliment each other for my use.

You thought wrong on my behalf...............

I initially remapped it to the Camera, but the phone needs to be open/unlocked for it to open the camera. Double clicking he power button twice opens the camera even if the phone is locked.

I'm gonna set it up and try it again too but may just wait till I get my phone on Friday.

I'm right there with you. For search, making calls, or sending texts, I use Google Assistant. For phone system functions I use Bixby. Bixby isn't perfect, and its definitely not for everyone, but I like it for what it is.

Volume down function if that is even possible. Since it is close to the volume down button and the Bixby button is what I hit by accident if I am frantically trying to decrease volume because it is too loud.

I use the bixby single button push to launch Samsung Pay using the bixby command "make a payment with my card." I prefer this because I do not like the home screen shortcut for Samsung Pay. Other than that I do not use bixby.Screenshot_20190305-085958_Bixby%20Voice.jpeg
