What are you switching from to the Nexus?

Lot of different ways really...additional line, using another lines upgrade, promos, or getting lucky and a VZW rep moves your date up.

Personally for some reason due to the contract my employers has with VZW I can upgrade way early all the time...just pops up online as upgrade eligible in My Verizon.

Sure there different ways to I missed

Some of us are simply doing it the old-fashioned way...and paying full-retail for it :)

How are all of you guys getting a new phone way earlier than 2 years?

I bought the one year contract only. Hehe :D

And holy crap, it grew to 12 pages already since the last time I've posted? Noice :D

I'm upgrading at last from the original DROID from two years ago. Love the Nexus. Everything about it and so far battery lasts me all day. The RAZR didn't go all day and the battery was my big fault with the phone. Why if you aren't using it does the battery drain. Couldn't find any apps running and forced close anything that was running. Might have gotten one with a bad battery. Anyway I'm very satisfied purchasing my first Samsung smartphone and the Galaxy Nexus. Hope it works out for all who waited SO long to get one.:)

Came from a Incredible. So far very happy, although still learning the ropes with ICS.

I've been pulling the battery daily on thee original POS BB Storm since Feb (lost/stolen OG Droid). I can't wait to officially reitred this damn thing after work tonight. Talk about an upgrade...

Droid Eris... FTW! Enjoyed the more sleek feel over the heavy steel box OG... BIG mistake! But now after learning a lot from this forum I am happily married to the galaxy nexus:)

I doubt many people here needed the upgrade to the GN more then I did!!!

Good bye my trusty phone ! We went to over 20 different countries together! Never an issue!

Coming from Thunderbolt.

Samsung Omnia i910 > iPhone 3G > iPhone 3GS > Droid 1 > Droid X > Thunderbolt > Galaxy Nexus

Who's the best so far? Needless to say.... :)

Droid Bionic to Galaxy Nexus

90 return from Costco, only paid the $10 difference :)

Droid Inc. Got my NE2 date moved from 12/29/2011 to 12/15/2011. I will have it Monday. Had to order over phone to keep my unlimited data plan.

Blackberry Storm. Buggy and annoying, but kept it for 3 years waiting for a phone that I really wanted (GNex doesn't have world phone capabilities but I'll live). Overall good so far, except the battery life is a little quick draining for me and a few mediocre 4G issues. That said, leaps and bounds better than the storm...glad to finally have a proper browser and adequate app space!

Droid X to Galaxy Nexus. I got a flier in the mail that said I could upgrade three months early a week before the Nexus release. Perfect timing.

Original June 2009 Launch Day Palm Pre

I loved and miss the fluid beauty of WebOS (RIP) cards/swiping and multitasking. But Android is growing on me. Toughest adjustment so far is moving from a physical keyboard but thanks to the Boards here I have SwiftKey X to help the learning curve.

Thunderbolt, charge, bionic, razr and rezound.

I swear this is my last phone!
