What are you using for voicemail with the Sprint Essential phone?

First, I have to say I love this phone and the $5/month deal on this phone. I have had zero problems with it, the camera is great, and the phone itself is WAY better than what I expected. Even love the case I got for it on Amazon.

Only thing I think could be better is the voicemail function. It does not come with "visual voicemail", just a small icon in the notifications area if there is a new voicemail.

What are you folks using? I saw that there are several different visual voicemails on Google Play, just haven't decided on one yet.

Thanks in advance
Bill

Have you called Sprint to ask why your VVM doesn't work? It works for me with the stock phone dialer, although I'm on TMO, not Sprint.

Yeah this is my only.major complaint.

I despise having to listen to regular, 1990s voicemail after experiencing visual voicemail on TMobile for the last 4 years.

I don't believe Sprint offers this. I am also looking for a solution here.

I have Essential Ph-1 on Verizon and have the same issue as you. No VVM.
I got use to tapping the VM i wanted while deleting or skipping others.

I now use my google voice number for VM.
It works great.
I forward my missed calls to the GV number the voicemails are transcribed and if you have the text alert set up you get a SMS with transcribed VM.

I like the fact that I also don't rely on the carrier VM and if I go to another company all my voicemails are intact on GV.

I wish there was an app that could be a voice mail service on the phone directly. Messages would be saved on the phone and could be saved of as files in case you needed them later.
