You could throw it off a parking garage and it would probably be fine. That's how it looks anyway.Yep they have it in all black. Definitely not worried about dropping the S6 in this beast

Th soft material is a bit more substantial than the Defender but the silicone outer layer of the Defender is dense enough to offset the difference in the spongy layer. I feel a little better knowing it is truly the thinnest iteration of the Defender. On my next device, probably the GS7, I may give it a try.I haven't had a Defender case in a while, but I think the interior part is pretty much the same. There's a soft material attached on the back section and the front snap-on section has rubber all along the interior.

I thought about going with the Defender, but opted for the Pelican instead. I don't even need this much protection for my phone, but I like to try out different cases. I've been trying to cut down on my case collecting though since I've gone crazy with that on past devices![]()
Lifeproof Galaxy S6 case looks like a complete Nig-Rig with the foam stick on bumpers inside the shell.

No problem. Don't watch CNN.Let me clarify that for you........ complete Jerry-Rig, Sorry.
Been watching too much CNN.
Is it a hybrid case? It almost looks like a combination bumper and a clear back.

How deep is the camera cutout?Nope, one piece case. The red is cushioning though. It's built in

Nope
Pelican ProGear | Mobile Device Protection
The Pro Voyager versus the Pro appears to have profile thicknesses. How is it to remove and re-install? My concern would be that the two sections would separate on impact. With the integration of the polycarbonate and the silicon layer, the Commuter and the Defender will remain as a single unit on impact.
The Progear Voyager requires a coin in order to loosen the connection between both parts. Even after it's loose, it still requires a bit more work to separate both sections. It's certainly a risk that the two could separate upon impact, but I think it would have to be a pretty high fall in order for that to happen. I actually had the regular Progear case for my 6+ and slightly prefer it over the more heavy duty Voyager model. Unlike the Voyager, the normal Progear is just one piece and has this rubber like material all along the inside
