What are your favorite cases for the Moto X Pure Edition?

Following this thread.
I shudder to think how bulky it will turn out with a case on such a large phone.

That's what I'm afraid of. My Galaxy S6 went from nice and small to a huge beast with a Lifeproof case. I'm sure I could have gone thinner, but... At least this Moto X should be safe in rain without a case when I run.

For those of you who have had a bumper case on a previous phone, do you think it provides enough protection?

What about screen protectors? If you've had a glass screen protector, did you like it, and did it interfere at all with the touchscreen response on your phone?

I've only ever had the plastic adhesive screen protectors before. Would appreciate your input.

The bumper case i've used on my Maxx had been great. Minimal in size and a ridge around the front if it falls flat. I do use a flexible screen protector on my Maxx but nay not on the Pure. Just took it off my Maxx and it really looks better without it. I will try the bumper that comes with the Pure before deciding on a better one.

Since comes with a bumper case I will probably just use that. I got the insurance and if dropped on a hard surface from three feet or more, a case is not helping much anyway. Not unless one of those huge cases that I will not use.

Agree ... I refuse to hoy on huge cases.

Its like when Apple Fan boys moan about Android phones not looking as nice as iPhone or being as premium and then they whack on dirty big disgusting plastic cases on their phones ... Bravo !

The bumper for the Maxx has been good. I wish the included bumper for the Pure was rubber/tpu rather than plastic apparently but I guess I shouldn't complain about an included freebie. But I will be looking for a rubber bumper. Also, for more protection if Seidio would actually come out with a case/holster for the Pure that would be great. I came across this clip case http://www.amazon.com/Niteize-Clip-...ag=hawk-future-20&ascsubtag=UUacUvbUpU4665864 The dimensions listed are not correct, that is for the Medium size I believe.

It's no looker but it's supposed to have a very strong clip and I really don't know that I want to carry this phone in my pocket. Anyway, we'll see once I get it.

Got mail from Dbrand.

Hey Bert!!

We’re definitely planning to support Moto X Pure, however the timeline for release is still unclear at the moment. There’s a couple of new materials and other more in-demand devices which are taking priority right now, but we’ll be sure to let you know as soon as the Moto X Pure is closer to a final release.

Hah! I wrote bumber and not bumper. My OCD compelled a correction :)

I suggest the big, fat, bulky, super sturdy Otterbox Defender. I've used Defenders on EVERY smartphone that I've owned. First off, remove that hideous built in screen protector. Second, throw the gigantic plastic belt clip in the garbage. Defenders do add some heft, but IMO, the protection they afford is unmatched. As soon as the Defender hits Amazon, my MXPE 2015 will be ordered.

Personal choice. My friend has that for the 6+ and makes the device mega chunk huge.

Amazon has a Gameboy themed case for the MXP15, but is a hard case. Hard cases do not really provide much protection from drops, since simply transfer most of the energy to the device. Might also be slippery since a hard case.

Probably be better off with the bumper case and the black grippy back out of box. At least until sure I will keep the device.

One of the two cases I ordered came today (they were so cheap I figured I might as well order 2 and then I can always return one). Looks nice.

On a side note someone should make a word for when the case for your new phone arrives a week before the new phone gets to you... It's a different kind of excitement haha

Here's the case I just got:

I ordered the same one - good to know it's a doable case. It shows as shipped but not movement via the tracking number they provided.

I received one of those cases yesterday DuroCase. Really the only option right now as I like a case that doesn't cover the phone buttons. No, it's certainly not going to save you from a drop but the case seems well made and it'll keep my grubby hands off of it. ;)

Waiting for a Cruzerlite option but I see i-Blason has some new cases up on Amazon today, I like their stuff too.

I'm hoping Ringke, Max Boost and verus make a case.

You might be in luck with the Ringke... They now have Invisible Defender screen protectors listed on their site but not released until Oct 31st. Maybe some cases coming?

Is the Gameboy case grippy or slippery? That is why I will not like the bumper case since covers up the buttons. No like.

Why isn't there official cases from motorola?

Have there been recently?

Moto X second gen has cases from Case-Mate, Incipio, and DODOcase available from Motorola but no Motorola-branded cases.

Somewhere in between.

It does have a slight bit of texture to it, so it doesn't feel like what I would call slick. Yet not as grippy as some TPU cases. Wish I could explain better but it doesn't feel bad and I think I'm going to be just fine with it. I've had a Spigen case on an older phone that I immediately removed because of a slick feeling metal outer shell.

Personally I've always been a huge fan of the Cruzerlite TPU cases because they leave the buttons uncovered. They don't currently have the Moto X Pure/Style listed but they do have the Moto X Play listed which makes me think the Pure Edition/Style is coming soon.
