On AT&T post paid shared plan with my bro. We get 450 minutes, unlimited texting, both with unlimited data plans for $140/month after his military discount.

Whaaaaat. Is this an old plan (you know, back when plans were affordable)?

I'm finishing out my contract that I signed last march. With the N4 replacing the Sensation4G I got for 'free' back then.

One of the great things about GSM is you can swap phones and not break or renew a contract to do so.

Why the frak? did I stay with Sprint for so long?

? Yep, that's right, I used a BSG term there. Ha ha!

Currently on the T-Mobile $30 plan. Have decided I'll be leaving Sprint. I get better coverage at work with Sprint but everywhere else my T-Mobile connection is as good or better. LTE will soon be available in my area on Sprint but I feel the money saved is just to good to pass up. The speed on HSPA is plenty fast in my area. Even if I go with the $70 plan it's still a decent savings per month. I'm also more interested in not being stuck in a contract so I can easily switch phones if I want.

60% of the time it works every time!

Straight Talk for now, but going back to the T-Mo $30 plan next month. If I end up getting decent coverage, I'll go to the $70. T-Mo's HSPA+ speeds in my neighborhood are pushing 30 down and 4 up, but coverage was a bit iffy, however ATT's on Straight Talk is no better and might even be worse.

Ha, I wonder the same thing sometimes. I've been on them since the blackberry days, I'm glad I finally saw the light and realized there are so many more options out there. CDMA is so limited.

I'm a Sprint refugee, too. I was happy with Sprint until the EVO, whose popularity I think is a major reason why network performance started to tank in 2011. As I recall, Sprint's TV commercials said that they had 6 million EVO owners. Add in the iPhone later on, and performance took another hit. I rarely got above 130 kbps.

So I'm concerned when I see so many Nexus owners using T-Mobile. Is T-Mobile about to suffer the same fate as Sprint?

Im using straight talk with ATT. Im getting good speeds (6.5mb/1.5mb) with ATT's great coverage here in rural New England. While tmobils speeds are better, there overall coverage blows.

Are you able to port your number over to the T-Mobile $30 plan? What would the process be for switching from another prepay T-Mobile plan to the $30 plan?
