What devices from MWC will be on Verizon?

This was also mwc. The world is dominated by gsm phones. Why would they bring anything else to it? My bet is that if we have a little patience, things will be released shortly for Verizon.

Well in a day not too far off, the whole world will be LTE, with VoLTE and CDMA will be obsolete unless you have a dumbphone

In ways you are correct. All the manufactures that presented their devices so far were made for GSM or HSPA+ networks. Since Verizon and Sprint are on CDMA they would not be able to get any of these devices. Not sure what Motorola or other manufactures will show in the coming days, but not getting my hopes up yet. Do you remember that at CES 2012 that most manufactures were not going to produce as many devices as they have in the past. One thing though that does make me a little optimistic is that Verizon has lowered the RAZR, Bionic, Rezound, and Nexus. This usually means that they are trying to deplete or eliminate current inventory and make room for new devices. Does this mean that someone is making a new devices that were not ready for MWC? Guess time will tell.

I'm a little disappointed that Verizon isn't getting any new superphones. I was really hoping for a new phone with atleast a dual core S4 processor with integrated LTE. Verizon is the prime is market to show off a phone with integrated LTE, but instead the phone (HTC One X) goes to AT&T... I guess we'll have to wait for something like the Galaxy S 3, though that will probably just have a 32nm Exynos instead of a 28nm chip with LTE.

I will say I am waiting on more details on the Huawei Ascend D Quad XL. It won't have integrated LTE but they did say they work closely with 3rd party LTE chips. I'd like to get more info and see some comparisons to the Tetra 3 and S4, but the Ascend D could still be Verizon's diamond in the rough.

I can upgrade starting next month and I was hoping for a quad core phone by summer to get.

Hopefully VZ doesn't take too long getting them.

I'm really hoping to see a varient of the HTC ONE X, or even the HTC ONE S. Both really amazing devices with some quality hardware.

I'm in the same boat as all of you. I am on Verizon, still using a Droid 1 that I have had for almost 2 years now. I don't see anything on Verizon right now that hasn't already been made obsolete by the recent new phones announced at MWC. I sincerely hope Verizon amps up their superphone selection in a hurry or I'll be looking elsewhere. I see no sign of the Note coming, or the HTC One series so far, and I'm not happy. For now, I'll be continuing to use my OG Droid I guess. So frustrated.

Well I feel better after talking to a VZW phone rep. I should have known this but it never accrued to me. The rep was also very knowledgeable about phones and websites for all android devices. He said the reason why most of the manufactures are showing devices with GSM/HSPA is because there is no CDMA network in Spain. The devices with CDMA radio's would not work there so why bring them to MWC if they can't show what the phone can do. Totally makes sense to me.

What he did say is that LG, Motorola, Samsung and HTC will be coming to Verizon with some high-end, big screen phones this spring but he did not know the name, release dates, or any specs, just that they will be bringing some new devices to the market. I told him that I need a new phone cause my DInc is having issues and it's almost 2 years old. He said if you wait a couple months you will have a few to choose from.

Still not getting my hopes up but more optimistic.

HTC CEO did not want to talk about what they are going to be offering on Verizon at MWC. He only smiled. Like others have said MWC is a world conference, not really much interested in USA CDMA only phones. Separate announcements will be made in the not too distant future showing cool new powerful phones for Verizon.

Personally I did not see much announced or demo at MWC that made me go wow. Actually the opposite, unhappy to see some Android phones moving away from memory card slots and removable batteries.

Wait until the next big event, mwc is pretty much always gsm phones. CTIA is the event, mwc was the same way last year with very little said about cdma phones at mwc but later on more were released/announced at ctia.

Wasn't the Bionic - VZW's big news for the first three quarters of 2011 - announced there?

It was announced at CES 2011.

Also, yes, CTIA is where we'll hear about devices for CDMA carriers. Sprint usually has a big presence there, and I'm sure Verizon will have a few things to show, as well as the other carriers.
