I was using the Nexus on the AT&T network. I was able to sell it for 100 more then what I paid for the droid x. WOOHOO :)

Just a little Nokia 5300 MusicXpress. Still a great little phone though has been a little wonky lately (thus me deciding to upgrade). Wish I knew how to "unlock" it so I could keep it as a back up phone, but all that technical stuff is just too much for me.

This is my first Android phone I came from an IPhone 3GS so this is a really a big change Apple has pretty much dumb downed me.
I'm a little worried with a few of the quirks I'm already having and hoping some updates will help them.

1.Stutters and hesatates going from screens and pretty much anything.
2.Had my first few lockups tonight had to remove battery.
3.Since then sometimes it has a hard time locking onto 3G.

1. Isn't terribly unusual unless you are comfortable switching in more apps that modify the UI (take your time and don't rush it...Froyo will be out in a few weeks and will help fix this anyways)

2) Lockups are NOT common on this phone, so either there is something that could be fixed (removing of certain apps or widgets perhaps) or else it needs a factory reset or to be looked at.

3) I can't speak to the coverage in your area. Have you dialed *228 (chose to program the coverage, not to try and activate your phone) to see if that helps? While some people have had problems with wireless network connections (not I happily) the 3G signal on the DX is generally pretty good. Also, convievably Verizon could be having a problem in your area, although the timing sounds suspicious.

Anyways, make sure your phone is in proper working order, and the lag and stutters should go away soon enough.

I have been a loyal BB user for 3 years. I am sad for BB. I am very happy for Motorola...

I'm not surprised there are a lot of BB users. I bought the Storm the day it was released in November 2008. I had my upgrade date moved 10 days so I could buy the X on the day it came out.

iPhone 3GS. I loved it. I harbor no ill will toward the iPhone platform, and honestly if I could have gotten an iPhone 4, it would have been a tough choice. Alas, my company changed carriers so I got a Droid X.

That said, I'm glad I did because it's been a fun learning experience, and I appreciate having more control over some of the core functionalities. One of my biggest pet peeves of the iTunes/iPhone environment was the way it handled podcasts. There's no reason that the phone shouldn't handle all that for you instead of requiring manual downloads or syncing to a computer. Now I have DoggCatcher on Android, and I love it.

Same here, but its about equal between Tour, Storm 1 and Storm 2.

I am in the "i couldn't afford to get a phone out of contract and didn't want to add a year for a minor upgrade" camp.

I was eligible for the 1 year upgrade but I hung on to it to see what was going to come out. I wasn't thrilled with the Droid 1.

I'm glad I waited. I scored a $99 Droid X.
