What do you guys think of this font I found on XDA site

I've not yet rolled back to EMUI 4.1 yet as I'm trying to decide whether to take a deal with Xfinity mobile on an iPhone 8 now that was presented to me out of the blue as I was in no way seeking it out. With me being an Apple fan by heart. It just seemed like it maybe a good opportunity for me to go on back to IOS which I know deeply well more so than Android and I've become to know a lot in a short amount of time with it. The guys have been telling me to be very careful as their may be at catch. I n Ed to check deeply in to that first and I'm also unsure it will even happen due to a hidden catch. If there is then I'm sticking with my beloved honor 8 which I believe I would still keep if I did get the iPhone 8 but I'm not sure bc I'll still be within my 30 day return policy. Only reason they offered me the special was bc I signed up with them for internet and cable the other day and their mobile service is only available to Xfinity customers. I don't truly know what to do bc I still want the mate 9 which the iPhone 8 would totally kill that option for me.
Why would it kill the option?

Right there could be a catch or requirement that could be unfavorable. Just make sure to get all the terms clearly identified so you can make your decision.
Yes most definitely bc once I do it I'm stuck with it for 24 months which is a long time for me personally. Maybe a year but two I don't know to be honest and now enters the opportunity to get the Samsung Note 8 too which is alluring to me too bc I'm truly after a large screen device. The only reason I'm considering the iPhone is bc I've been wanting to go back to my Apple roots. So in the end I've got a really tough one to call. A part of me just says go for the note 8 and keep the honor and the other part says go through iPhone 8 and return the honor so I'll be thinking hard about it until Tuesday or so. I also like you said need to read the fine print to be sure there is absolutely no catch to it and then I'm stuck.

There's a deal for $700 off Samsung phones at XFINITY, I only glanced at it though, make sure you understand the terms before committing.

I saw where you get a $200 dollar gift card for getting a Samsung Note 8 but I didn't see $700 dollars off a Samsung phone though. Also to my knowledge there is no gift card with the iPhone 8.

I saw it here. It's $500 + $200 Samsung. Only iPhone then it's $500.but read the thread for details, I only glanced at it.

Oh yeah I saw that but it requires that you sign up for the deluxe package for cable and it's way more expensive per month so I declined that $500 gift card but I still qualify for the $200 if I were to get the Note 8 which I'm now considering. That's a tough call between the two as I would rather have the iPhone but I need the note 8 to be my larger device so I'm not sure what to do. The $200 gift card sounds nice though. However the not 8 is about $200 more than the iPhone 8 so I'm not sure if it's worth it unless I look at it as it makes the note 8 the same price as the iPhone 8 so in that regard it maybe worth it. I just have to decide which one I want to get which I have been searching for a media device but I like Apple better than Samsung touchwiz. The iPhone would become my daily driver where the note 8 would be used in rotation for media purposes. Tough one to call.

If I were not to use a honor 8 I'd probably go with the 5 inch pixel 2 as I do not like what these companies are doing now these days with the screen ratios. They are making them 18.9 which makes the phone way too narrow therefore the proportion is just off and weird. I know bc I had bought the Samsung S8 and I could not stand it. Plus it still lagged even with a 835 chip in it. I like the honor 8 ten times better than the S8 but these 18.9 screen ratios make zero sense to me. All they are doing is taking away screen real estate from both sides and making the phone taller and it's odd watching a movie in that ratio. The 16.9 typical ratio is the best and I just think it's a fad right now that will soon go away. It's just looks to be totally off and the screen is way too narrow.

Wait... So you think the the 18x9 screen ratio makes zero sense yet you want to get the note 8?

What do you mean like there is a hidden catch to it? If so this is what I've feared in the back of my mind that there will be a catch to the entire deal if I get it at no money down other than paying taxes on the phone

A catch or just straight out lying to you like they did to me.

It's not that I want it or like it it's more that I really have no choice as all companies are adopting this but yes I'm still against it and don't like it but say for example the Note 8 is on the larger side so it's not as severe as it was on my S8 5.8 inch screen. Does that make sense? So I'm say the larger the screen the less the 18.9 ratio makes such an impact to me. The biggest thing here is I'm after a larger screen device. If Xfinity mobile offered a larger screen device that was 16.9 ratio I'd go for it over the 18.9 so I still stand behind my statement but since I really have no choice yes I would still in fact use it but it's not going to be my daily driver most likely and I'd use it mainly for media and the S pen for notes which I've personally never owned a note before so I'm rather curious to test it out as I'm always a fan of testing new gear out. Overall I'm still not a fan of 18.9 as to me it makes the screen way too narrow but in the note 8 case it's so large that it's not quite as dominate as it was on my smaller S8.

Exactly as Comcast has been known to do to me personally with my past bills with them which is why I quit them years back but I was forced recently to move in with my mother to care for her as she has been diagnosed with stage 4 terminal cancer of the bones so she didn't have internet and I've been relying on my mobile data only so I had to get some cable and internet plus WiFi here and I saw that Xfinity was offering that $500 gift card which peaked my interest which I in the end declined on due to them almost doubling the price of your services to qualify for it so I didn't get it. I just got the services I needed but however they are offering a $200 gift card if I buy the Note 8 I'll get a $200 dollar gift card which definitely does interest me because ultimately I was in search now of a larger screen device which the Note 8 will give me that as a second device if I don't decide to get a refund on the honor 8 to help pay the note 8 off quicker as I'd take the return money and add it with the gift card money and use it all towards pyaing off the device. I just don't know whether to get the Note 8 or the iPhone 8 right now which the iPhone has no gift card promotion and the iPhone would indeed make me return the honor 8 as I'd have no use for two smaller screen devices where the note 8 I likely would keep my honor and use the note 8 as my media device and a back up to my honor. So right now I'm unsure of which one I'm going to go for and again if there is not a hidden catch to it all. These companies try to get you and hook you in somehow and you end up getting stuck because you never saw the catch they had built into the deal.

I definitely will. I really want to do it but it seems quite confusing to do as the process is quite detailed to flash it back to 4.1 but I can definitely tell you that I'm much more of a fan of 4.1 which to me was the most unique EMUI ever was as each newer update keeps taking it closer to stock Android features which I do not like. I don't want to loose my security updates if I do it but I guess that's the chance I have to take doing so. If I can figure out the process then I'm definitely going to roll back to 4.1 and I'll give a full review of the difference between 4.1 and 5.0.1 in depth.

The $200 gift card promo is really good. Help out on your down payment for the phone... I'm sorry to hear about your mother.

Oh great ! There might be a video online on how to do it step by step.

Hey I deeply appreciate the kind words about my mother. That means a ton to me and I really and truly appreciate it. It's been very difficult to see her in so much pain as I wish so badly that I could take it from her and put it in my body as she in no way on this Earth deserves to have terminal cancer. Thank you again for those kind words about her. It really makes a phone feel very insignificant when I think about it and her.
