What do you not like about the Bionic?

My List:

5.) Sleep Mode, My OG Droid was black background with just the clock numbers lit up, the Bionic has the stupid blue screen in the background, even with the setting set as dim as possible it disturbs the Fiance.

8.) Bloatware is ridiculous, I knew there would be a lot, but wow!

Totally agree, especially about the clock.

1) The screen is noticeably inferior to my Incredible. When the same high quality photo is viewed side by side on the Incredible and Bionic there is absolutely no comparison. Even the Verizon rep admitted that there is a shocking difference. The "screen door" pentile effects were tolerable, but the poor display of colors was quite disappointing.

2) the high pitched whine/hum when outputting audio via the 3.5mm jack(headphones and aux input in car) was the deal-killer for me. my Incredible has no such issues at all.

3) bottom line: compared to my Incredible there is significant degradation in both display and audio quality.

I am left handed and on the Incredible, the power button was on the left. I have the TB and it is on the right and it is smaller. It has taken me a bit to get used to it. I wish manufacturers wouldn't make changes to location of power button. I liked it on the left side ...better for me

I don't like that mine won't activate.

Did you have to agree to renew a contract? I upgraded with my Tbolt over the phone with customer care and before I could get the phone to activate, I had to agree to the terms of the renewal and then I could activate the device.

Just a thought.............

love the phone so far. couple of things i wish they would change though. the notification led could be brighter, its hardly noticeable. the battery indicator is quite misleading, the indicator looks like its at 70% but under the battery screen it shows 50%. also found a bug, the screen won't auto timeout after hdmi mirroring onto a tv, it just sits there with the screen on. only way to fix it so far is restarting the phone.

I have dimmed the clock as far down as it would go and still swear there is enough light to land a 747. :D

I use the black and green falling characters Matrix back ground as my live wall paper on my phone. There is a setting to use your phone wall paper as your alarm clock wall paper. It is actually darker than the blue screen they use and looks cool too.

Bedside is a cool app if you're looking for an alarm/clock for night time. Has lots of customizations including a seperate dimmer for the screen brightness.

Bought and downloaded. Played with it a little, actually looks like it will work, will see how it goes tonight. Will update tomorrow. Thanks, Lisa

One thing I keep thinking about with different people and the screen...some people just plain see colors differently. I mean isn't it common for men to have color blindness? I mean I could say something looks blue, while someone else says it looks purple. Just a thought...

My only complaint so far is the lightweight plastic feel. I liked the heft and feel of my DROID. I know that plastic helps heat escape but these new plastic builds just don't feel as solid, I will be scared to drop this phone.

I did drop mine yesterday, fell off my lap onto the asphalt from my wife's SUV. Must have hit face down because the silver bezel has some scratches, but other than that it's fine!!

I haven't taken a good picture with this phone yet. Bad colors, every photo is blurry... I've seen some people take good pics with other apps, but not what I want to do. Frustrating to say the least. Other than this, the phone rips.

You must have a bad unit. Photos I have taken are great, better camera than DX.

Here's a photo I took while driving by a traffic jam yesterday:

I was about to say something bad about the camera as well but then I made absolutly sure that I wiped the lens cleaner. It is amazing how easy it is to get something on the lens that causes the pictures to not look their best

Not sure, but I think you have to root to get rid of bloatware.

You can dim the alarm clock in the settings.

Someone on this forum turned me on to Launcher Pro, which helps customize your screens but more importantly, you can easily create a folder within your apps pages and dump all of the useless bloatware icons into one folder (I aptly named "VZW junk"). Granted the software is still on your computer but at least you don't have to look at that pathetic Blockbuster icon every time you try to access your apps!

You can do that with motorola's skin too.

I keep seeing the same stuff that all early adopters of a phone see. No matter what, no phone will be perfect, there's going to be some bugs that Motorola will squash in the coming weeks. I hope to see the camera fixed up a little myself, and maybe some of the pixelation people are seeing is partly software, can't be sure, but it's possible. And of course they'll probably fix some of the reception issues and that strange hissing noise I've been hearing more about lately. I'll be sure to add my two cents when I get the phone, I should have enough money tomorrow or so.

OMG, MOTO needs more time to fix bugs after the initial 9 months to test and iron out bugs?:mad:

Finally had an experience of the disappearing apps. It seems to happen after restarting the phone (which I've done to swap out batteries), then I notice shortcuts are missing from my home screen.

So far, the battery life hasn't been great for me. I'm suspecting that the 4G radio constantly being active--even when I'm on wifi--is the problem. I'm wondering if this is a software bug?

What's your definition of 'hasn't been great'? How long has it been lasting and how much are you using it?

After a few days using it...

What Surprises me / Plus I see
* 4G/LTE is damn fast
* Battery Life is darn good, better than my Fascinate
* Smooth Response Touch Screen

The minus I see are
* Pentile Screen
* Lack of Image Stabilization in Camera
* Screen get hot sometime, wierd.
* A tad heavy. For being something this thin, I would assume it be lighter.

WebTop OS, is a nice to have feature. Not required. A good marketing feature. I wouldn't say it is the selling point though.

What I am puzzle with is iPhone (i guess due to it being iPod original) has much better sound. It has standard eq and output much better sound quality. My Original Droid, Fascinate, and even Bionic lack that in a way. Hate to having to install 3rd party player when I don't need to. iPhone works great out of the box this way.
