What do you not like about the Bionic?

On the homescreens it isn't pixelation. Moto built in a TON of animation and lighting effects that create some unintended visual side effects. I have noticed some of the 'shimmering' effect mentioned previously though.

Yes, it is. The pixelation is everywhere. And I know exatcly what your referring to in regards to the animations/lighting effects you see the second after you swipe to a different home screen. I actually think they're pretty cool. Those animations/lighting effects aren't what I was referring to though when I spoke of the pixelation being even worse when swiping. I was talking about during the swipe while the screen is moving. And it applies to scrolling up and down too (such as in the web browser). Any icons, widgets, images, etc that are on the screen look considerably worse while moving. And the slower you swipe/scroll, the more noticeable it is. That was not the case with my Incredible or OG Droid.

Despite that and overall, I really like the phone. Nice styling, well-built, neat UI, and fast as hell.

To be honest, one thing that bothers me is the choppiness of streaming videos on a flash filled website. Videos from the YouTube app are fine, its those from websites and such; anyone else?

Bionic is a helluva phone. Pentile screen is fair. It isn't retina or SAMOLED+, but it does have advantages ie battery life and is vivid. I prefer the X screen I have now to the qHD.

Screen doesn't bother me. The OG Droid had a better speaker but this seems to be more clear when talking to someone. It's blazing fast. My issues have been mainly with memory usage and apps vanishing.

I've tried netflix and my own videos out and they look terrific. Don't know what people are complaining about.

I would like more control over camera settings. I think the camera is capable of better pictures then what the software allows. The TB has better controls over the camera. Color rendering is a bit too blue but it is much better than say the D3. Not that this is peculiar to Bionic, but I really dont like the micro usb connectors..too fragile. My Eris has a nice robust connector at its base.

sorry, this must be location/remote site related..

We run all flash video related streaming video (though Adult) streaming sites and as of now, the Bionic is the mobile client we now recommend and in fact is the best mobile performing to date..

This also includes the studio/model upload with the Bionic with our app.

Screen doesn't bother me, maybe my eyes are just bad. Coming from a Droid X though, I sadly miss the Contact Quick Task widgets where you could pick 1 person and have a box for texting, calling, etc. The new Quick Contacts widget just isn't the same. Other than that, I love the phone so far

For some reason when I try and activate it on the website, it won't let me finalize the switch from my Droid1 to the Bionic. It keeps trying to send me to the "Activate SIM" page. Problem is that they activated the SIM already at the store, so I don't need to activate it. If I press "cancel" it reverts back to my Droid1 as the active phone. If I hit "activate SIM" and punch in the number, it tells me it cannot be activated at this time (presumably because it's already active). If I hit "activate SIM" and then don't punch in any number and just go to another screen, the Droid1 remains the active phone.

I can't call in to have them activate it because my cell is my only line. So I may have to do it on my D1 and have them switch it after I hang up.

Well it turns out I probably need a new SIM card. They said whenever a 4G phone is activated it needs a new SIM. So since they activated the SIM with the Bionic and then I re-activated my D1 to use the rest of the day, I need a new SIM to re-activate the Bionic.

Not true. The sim stays active for 90 days. (it says that on the last page when you activate a device on the website)

Like everyone else said the power button being on the left sucks, I have to literally move the entire phone in my hand just to reach it and I like to shut off my screen every time I put it down or in my pocket. The screen is horrible compared to my DX, but if it saves a ton of battery life and looks better in the sun I can live with it. i also don't like that the screen is a tiny bit narrower but the phone is wider so it makes the screen seem even smaller. A few people have also mentioned that the notification LED is VERY small.

Other than that I love everything else about it and the TON of accessories I got with the Costco deal. From looking at Ebay I should get about $200 for my DX with all my accessories, so I'm really only out $100.

I hate that apps just disappear. It'll be there one minute and gone the next. I've even had it happen when Im' using an app, get a text and then the app is gone. Spooky

I prefer the X screen I have now to the qHD.

I lol'd. I had the X. I thought the screen was rather dull and definitely extremely washed out compared to other screens, especially the Fascinate I had next.

Played with it about 14 hrs yesterday (lol).. Probably the only thing I don't like is that tiny, ineffectice notification light, haha. Course I'm coming from blackberry which I guess spoiled me. Honestly not a big deal though, so far everything else about this phone is very, very impressive. Learning curve is small too, though it probably helps that I've been reading up on android and this phone nonstop for the last couple months

Mostly just little stuff. Power switch on the other side from my OG Droid; The switched around "Back" "Menu" and "Home" buttons are driving me crazy ; the micro usb goes in upside down from my OG Droid, I almost tried to force it in before I checked; The Motorola UI is Fine but I am just used to plai Android, but I want to play with it "as is" for a bit before I change launchers or anything major.

I do see what people say about the screen. I personally feel that the screen is gorgeous and will be great to have better visibility in the sunlight. There's almost a slight "shimmer" in large solid color areas in the video clips I watched - I really don't think it is a big deal though. The color accuracy, power savings, and sunlight visibility are more important to me on a phone/productivity device - when I want to watch a movie I'll do it on my 50" Plasma. When I am ready for a new phone in a couple of years there will be more efficient SoC's and efficient 1920x1080 mobile phone screens. If it really does bother someone, they should just get another phone.

If and when I do decide to get the Bionic, I don't think the power button will be an issue for me.
I never turn my screen off using the power button.
I use the 'Screen Off and Lock' widget.
I have it located on my home screen.
I can also access the widget from my notification bar.
Makes it easier to go into standby mode, and less wear and tear on my power button.

The power button on my original Droid Incredible is on the left side.
