What has Verizon taken away from V20?

Smart Settings, Themes, and FM Radio. Got it. Thank you everyone for your replies. I'm so glad I got away from Big Red. I could see disabling a feature that might be confusing or cause unnecessary calls to customer support, but these are benign features that add to the experience of using the phone. Ridiculous.

Thanks again :)

I would leave Verizon, but the other carriers still have big coverage gaps in Kentucky and parts of Ohio. Not just LTE, but call coverage as well.

I don't have any links to back this up, but when I did some research on this yesterday, the general consensus is that manufacturers charge providers (verizon, at&t, etc..) for features on the phone. Verizon chose not to pay for these.
It's really the only way I can explain how at&t charges $830 for the phone and Verizon is at $670.

Verizon has the 3 built in themes, but that is it, no store. But you can sideload it. They did that to the V10 as well

Verizon has taken away anything that interferes with their data/revenue strategy. Seems reasonable summary in regards to their litmus for going out of their way to zap stuff.

I wouldn't use it for the most part (I hate radio), but California is past due for a killer earthquake so....

I don't understand why people are upset over the loss of FM radio. Download iheartradio and be happy.

I said the same thing to someone else the other day and they pointed out that they did not want to have to use their data allotment for streaming a local FM channel.

Does the V20 have Air Drive like the V10?
That feature was removed by Verizon on the V10 and is not on the Verizon V20 either.

They also took away multi view but can be turned back on if you know how to turn on developer options.

Smart settings can also be turned back on, but still can not set my home location to automatically start wifi or whatever else. I may need it for.

I was able to set up starting my music app when I plug in headphones which is in Smart Settings could do much else until i figure out how to set home location.

They disabled the shrink screen for one hand use. Also in developer options once you get into it. Dont use that so no biggie.

I used to love that my G4 had the quick remote on the top pull down tab only when connected to home wifi. Very nice feature i now miss very much.

Multi view... So you mean split screen?

Incorrect. I have a Verizon v20 and it does have theme support. Albeit very sparse with only 2 options other than stock. This can be expanded by installing the LG Smart World app apk from the Internet site.

They do however give you the NFL for free, so you gotta appreciate that.
