What have you found in froyo?

I'm having the same issue with the browser as Turbo99miata and Kona9today. That is, many websites load to 80% or so and then the browser silently closes and you go back to the home screen. For instance, Know Your Cell - Cell phone news, reviews, features, guides and more - Know Your Cell. I've tried going back to the browser default settings and have cleared the cache, cookies, history, etc., all to no avail? I haven't had the problem with mobile versions of websites only desktop versions of the sites and haven't been able to narrow it down more than that.

Anybody else running into this issue? It's obviously a biggie for me!

I have read since having this issue that it may be related to running the Flash 10.1 update that came out prior to Froyo for the Evo, and now there is a conflict with the old flash version and the update.

I don't know if this is true, but I had downloaded the update while only on 2.1 and didn't uninstall the flash update prior to loading 2.2. Some have suggested a factory reset resolves the issue, haven't tried yet, but may have to to get it to work right.

Go to settings>applications>manage applications>then just click on any app you want to move to the sd card, and there will be a button there. If its capable of being moved to the sd card, that button won't be greyed out.

Huh... I don't see this option anywhere for any of my apps. Also, there is no button greyed out.

Not all apps yet support this function, have to wait for the app update from developer.

OK-maybe I just had the wrong expectations, but.....I thought having Flash was going to be streaming movies fro Netflix and Hulu. But no go.

Hulu block you. Netflix uses silverlight not flash sorry to disappoint but you're wrong on that one

Yeah, as someone posted above, the developer of the app has to code it to be able to do this. Only about four of mine were able to be moved to the sd card.

Either there's something wrong with your phone, or you're doing it wrong.

Here's something else I found today.

The HTC weather now includes the city where I work. Before it didn't so I quit using the flip clock widget. Probably won't go back to it anyway since I've been using weatherbug elite but it might help someone else.

Swype issue solution

I had the same issue with my install of swype, and several attempts of reinstalling to correct it did not work until I did a very careful read of the beta site info and found the solution.

You need to uninstall the swype app and the swype installer.

Then Reboot the device. This was the key.

Then using the swype beta site, login and resend the installer message, and install as before. You have to go in and enable the swype keyboard after it is installed and then select it as your input method.

These steps fixed it for me after the upgrade.

(I'm running 3.26.651.3 that I manually downloaded and updated)

i also found swype not working, said it was configured for another device, so i figured since the new update changes configuration i uninstalled swype from my phone and reinstalled and wala im swyping again.......so try uninstall then reinstall and it should work

How do you set the different led brightness?

Are you talking about the flashlight? If so, press the button on the flashlight and it cycles through the different brightness options. Menu gives you the option for auto flash (continuous) or SOS.

I just noticed that the Market page for installed applications has a check box for "Allow automatic updating". Is this new or just new to me?

Restoring back to factory settings worked! Pages that I had problems with once again load no problem. Don't know if it is the only solution, but a solution that worked for me.

It lets you quickly look and see what apps can or cannot be moved to an SD card.

I had the same issue with my browser. I cleared all my data and my browser's been working every since.
