What is proper battery maintenance?

Thanks! I'll have to check my wife's Note5 to see if that's when they got rid of those bars ...

I seem to recall that the bars used to be the "default" chart and you had to tap on something to go to the one that lists the apps. But it's been a while, and I could be wrong.

It is extremely non-intuitive to tap on the chart to see the chart again with different details under it. I only accidentally happened on it a while back. Before that I was really upset at losing the "environmental statistics"-based battery chart. Cell signal in particular has such an effect on battery life, I miss people posting that version in their battery stats.
