The OTA update has messed with my data speeds it takes abnormal amount of time for anything to load on websites and youtoube. That is with full 3g/4g signal! The only way to fix it and get my data speeds back to normal is to restart my phone and after I do that it is back to normal. I have to restart at least once a day to get data speed back to normal. The update did not make anything better on my Rezound that I can tell and it made things that were working great before the update act up. I would hold off and not install the update because it does more harm than good. I also tried a factory reset to get rid of the update with no success the update was still installed after the reset and the data speed issue remains.

I removed my earlier comment (was going to start a new thread later), but I want to add that my WiFi is messed up thanks to this update. 4G is downloading just fine. When I'm on WiFi, though, everything - web pages in the browser, Internet-connected apps - crawl. Apps often tell me that they can't connect or download. As soon as I disable WiFi, the problem is gone.
I've already done 2 factory resets - no improvement.
I'm about to call Verizon.
Flippin' HTC broke my DInc with updates. HTC is trying to break my Rezound, now. HTC needs to hire new techs.

Update: HTC support advised me do a factory reset via the HBOOT screen rather than through Settings > SD & Phone Storage > Factory Data Reset (which is what I did twice earlier) -- the phone works on WiFi, now.
I had no idea that the two ways to reset were different.
This update sucked.

I cannot understand why some are having radio issues and some are not,i have not tested 4G my town does not have it yet, tomorrow i will go to a dinner one town over that does and test it,as for 3G/Wifi/GPS it still works great for me actually the 3G speeds seem a little better,this is my 3rd Android phone, and the only one i returned was the Motorala Triumph using Virgin Mobile,i am still very happy with the rezound,and i am still running stock with all the Verizon bloat.wich amazes me in itself.
I am having issues with my phone. I hate this update. My battery is getting eaten up way faster, my 4G drops and some websites take forever to load. My email will not.push anymore I have to go to my email for.it to actually push. I have checked settings and everything is Correct. Of course the tones I have set for stuff is even worse then before. Changes more often then before.

I couldn't get data at all the next morning after the OTA. Took it to Verizon and the dreaded factory reset fixed the data issues. Battery life is still not where I would like though.

What neck of the woods are you in? They don't just push the OTA to everyone at once. Sit tight it probably hasn't hit your area yet. I almost hate to say this b/c it's pure speculation, but it wouldn't surprised me if they stalled the rollout if people are reporting issues w/ it. It looks like complaints are rolling in for them.
Try this.....Pull the battery and sim card out for a min., replace, reboot and try a manual check in 10-15mins.

Has anyone gotten the update recently (within the past day or two)? I'm just trying to get a feel for if I have a problem or if they are slow at rolling out updates to the rezound.
OTA wed night after work. No problems so far but been to busy to full check out everything. Seem like Batteries drains faster but that might not be, Will do some test, Would definitely suck if it did was get 24hr between recharges with moderate use. Not sure WHY Verizon did the up date. Read some where they installed Location servers on top of HTC location services that wasn't there before. but not sure. Might Root to uninstall, but that a way off.
I'm running a custom rom(rezrom 1.5)everything is running perfect and I really don't want this update to screw this rom up. How do I disable Vz ota?

My OTA was just done by going to settings>software update. Worked fine for my phone which has no root...just plain bloated stock...at least for now
If you don't want to mess up your rom, just don't do anything.

If you're stock and unrooted, the OTA gets you a new radio and a newer kernel with some other tweaks. There also appears to be one bloatware app added that may offset any battery use benefits from the new kernel.
If you are unlocked, rooted and running a custom ROM, you will also notice that hboot is updated to 2.11, but there's no reason you can't return to your custom ROM and kernel, and still reap the benefits of the new radio.
