What is the proper way to keep your battery charged

Yeah, nobody is using my phone during the night. It's really weird. My son's doesn't do it either. We all got a Note 10 the same day, and they both are rougher on the battery than me.

So much misinformation about battery charging. Just charge it when it's low and feel free to leave it on the charger when it hits 100%.

I use to do that and it killed my battery in 6 months. So what was that you were saying about misinformation?

So the note 10 sits on a charger not being used and loses power intermittently? Seems like maybe a hardware issue. Got insurance or is it still under warranty?

Yes, got it for Christmas.

It doesn't seem to loose any charge, it just intermittently seems to not show as "ON" the charger.

So that seems normal and in line with what I've read. The battery gets charged and the phone stops the charge then it drops a little and charges again, and back and forth.

I think so based on what I'm reading, and if you aren't having any other issues I think your fine.
