What is the status of your Droid X order

According to FedEx, mine is on the truck out for delivery 5 miles from my house (though I am sure it wont be delivered until the afternoon though). For comparison's sake, I ordered at 12:55 AM Thursday morning.
 
Out for delivery. Does anyone know if you can leave a pre-signed form and Fed-x will leave the package?
 
Im pretty sure my tracking info said "Indirect Signature Required" meaning either you, another resident, or a neighbor has to sign for it or they leave a sticky note that you have to reschedule delivery or pick it up at FedEx terminal.

Yes, indirect signature means that if no one is at your residence to sign, then they will try dropping it off with a neighbor to sign.
 
I was worried yesterday when I hadn't gotten a confirmation email but the email finally came just after 6 PM yesterday. Now my X is out for delivery. What a birthday present!
 
I ordered mine online at 5:20 AM EST, on the 14th....as of 20 minutes ago no shipping info. I just got off the phone with a very nice Verizon rep...who basically said, the same as previous post that they were jammed with orders and will get mine on by the 23rd. They did give me a $25 gift card for my trouble.
I'm not a tech person, just a want the latest phone person...not the feature my husband likes the most ;) So, I will patiently wait it's a phone to me that I most likely will drop at least 3x weekly.

New to the forum. Just wanted to describe my experience. I ordered online the minute the X showed up, completing the order at 12:04 AM. I paid full price as I like the freedom of no contracts. Anyway...

Still no shipping info as I write this. I called 611 and the representative was super helpful. He spoke with telesales and while they verified the order, telesales did not have a tracking number either. The phone rep explained that he would email the warehouse and find out hopefully in a few hours. But he seemed sincere and gave me an honest answer. Paraphrased..."I don't want to set your expectations high. Until I hear back from the warehouse there is an equal chance that you are on backorder."

If I am on backorder, either this representative or retentions will somehow have to sweeten the deal for me as I am not under contract. He said that as I paid full price, I should have been given preference...not sure I buy that.

Anyway...this is where I sit right now.
 
haha...That was fast. I just got an email with my tracking information. It may be helpful if those of you waiting for shipment confirmation to press the representative to contact the warehouse. Maybe some individual in the warehouse is personally handling emails from the Verizon representatives?
 
i ordered mine at 5:30am.

from the past couple of posts, it seems like there are a fair number of those who ordered online before normal business hours who were placed on backorder, even though they were actually "in line" for the droid x hours before many others who are getting their phones delivered today.

i spoke with one customer service rep last night when i noticed that my card had still not been charged, who was very helpful and actually said that my order did finally go thru about 20 minutes before i called, and that he can't gaurantee anything but he would assume that since i ordered it at 5:30am that i should have it by today, or at the very least, monday the latest.

ok... great. then this morning i wake up and still no tracking number e-mail. so i called verizon today from work and the customer service rep i spoke to was not helpful at all, and was trying to tell me that i ordered the phone at 5:30 PM, and that it's on backorder and i'd have to wait... which, to say the least, really annoyed me. i told her that i have the original e-mail from verizon confirming my order placed at 5:30am, and people who ordered after are already getting the phone... at which point she told me that "well maybe they pre-ordered the phone," which is of course a lie because there was no pre-order for the droid x.

needless to say after i threatened to cancel the order and jump to at&t for the iPhone, all of a sudden she changed her tune and said she'd try to get me to the front of the list.

i'm not holding my breath...

gonna call again in the afternoon and attempt to speak to someone a little more competent then whoever i spoke to this morning.

extremely frustrating holding on to this piece of crap original BB Storm with a screen that freezes every 10 minutes while verizon is holding on to my money yet giving me no answer.
 
I ordered mine 07/15 at 2:38 am. My status says the following:

Your order has been processed and will be shipped based on inventory availability and shipping method. You will receive shipment notification and tracking details via email.

I am pissed. This is worse than any iPhone launch. At least Apple-AT&T told you what is going on.

I am going to wait and hear Apple's Press conference today. if I am satisified, I am going to cancel the Droid X and get the iPhone 4.
 
MY status: I just cancelled the order. I'm pissed. Talked to a rep who said my phone wouldn't ship for another week. They said any orders that were placed AFTER 230pm that day wouldn't ship till the 23rd. Well...I ordered EARLY morning and I appears that they didn't charge my credit card till 10pm...so I'm in the "after 230pm" group. I was so mad I cancelled.
 
Jane just called me back with the confirmation of bad news. Orders placed online between 2 and 3 AM got "jammed" in the system and put at the end of the line. Apparently there were a slew of orders all at once at this time and the system just couldn't handle it. The reason why my order number is different than the order number she sees is because they basically canceled the jammed orders and re-ordered them.
