What is the status of your Droid X order

Anxiously awaiting for the Fedex guy to show up. It's gonna be a long day if it's guaranteed by 3pm. That sucks with what is happening with many people's orders, even when it was ordered in the wee hours of the morning. I ordered mine as soon as it showed up on the website for me... which was about 12:45am.
 
My original delivery date was scheduled for Monday the 19th. Just checked FedEx and it's out for delivery today!!!................of course I'm out of town and won't be able to get it until Monday after all. At least someone is there to sign for it
 
Jane just called me back with the confirmation of bad news. Orders placed online between 2 and 3 AM got "jammed" in the system and put at the end of the line. Apparently there were a slew of orders all at once at this time and the system just couldn't handle it. The reason why my order number is different than the order number she sees is because they basically canceled the jammed orders and re-ordered them.

that is ridiculous but sounds as if it is, indeed, true. at least your rep was willing to be honest and truthful with you. mine told me that perhaps the people who got the phone before me had "pre-ordered" the phone.
 
Mine is in transit (FedEx) - the VZW rep told me yesterday that they sold all their in-store stock, but that I would have it tomorrow. I was a tad skeptical, but not anymore.

I just can't believe I got one coming today - I ordered it in the store around 4PM yesterday. I have heard of people on waiting lists that still don't have it. I think I was extremely lucky - which is unusual for me.

Eh, even a blind monkey finds a banana once in a while.

Just walked into a store and the have them!!! I'm canceling my order now and walking out with one in hand.
 
I just got some raised eyebrows from a friend that thought I said "I can't wait for my ex to get here so I can play!"
 
My DX is now on the truck for delivery.

About an hour ago my receptionist called me to say I had a package. Thinking the FedEx site was just behind on updates I bolted to the front of my office. Biggest.Letdown.Ever. My wife had ordered a costume prop and it showed up in the mail.

*head-desk*

Oh well, I should have mine within 3 hours!
 
Well that went nowhere. Salesperson said I'd have to buy it for $499 before the MIR. Said they couldn't honor the $299 price. They are a retailer not a corp store.
 
Well just got off the phone with VZW...looks like I'm another one who won't be seeing it for another week.

I ordered at 6:45am and only yesterday night did my order status change to: Your order has been processed and will be shipped based on inventory availability and shipping method. You will receive shipment notification and tracking details via email.

The person I spoke with on the phone just few minutes ago said that my payment only processed at 11:40pm last night. She said their automation department/system was backed up because of the all early morning orders and the amount of orders through out the day.

She said they are getting another shipment of phones over the weekend so I'll probably see it before the 23rd.
 
Just called back 611 ... talked to Melissa and she was much better than what I dealt with yesterday. Anyway my order at 7:00am PST was also backed-up they said it "could" be up till the 23rd...so I canceled order. At least they didn't threaten to charge me this time!
 
I just ordered online and it looks like I could be waiting until the 23rd! :( Hopefully they get a new shipment in and it comes soon I have free overnight shipping.
 
Just got off the phone with a CS rep and he said he couldn't find a Fedex tracking number for my order, which he told me probably means it is delayed and could take as long as 7/23 to ship. I ordered mine online yesterday at 1:30pm EST. He did credit $10 to my account to cover the overnight shipping cost (which I actually got free via a promo code), so that's a plus. Just sucks that I have to stick with my crapberry Storm1 for one more week. I'm going to head to my VZW store after work today to see if they maybe got some more shipments in throughout the day.
 
I've learned my lesson about trying to order early. I called yesterday (07/15) about 07:00PM and spoke with someone who took a "pre-order". Basically, she wrote down all my info and told me she would enter the order "first thing in the morning". Turns out she was on the west coast, so it didn't go in until about 1:00PM EST. Once it did go in, it went into a "Manager Review Queue" for some reason, and wasn't cleared until last night. As such, I missed the overnight shipment.

I called today to check status on my order and was told it had missed the 2:30PM cutoff and they were out of stock. The CSR I spoke with told me my phone should ship by 07/23, and credited me $25 "for my trouble".

Unexpectedly, I just received a tracking number which shows my phone delivering on Monday. It's disappointing that I didn't get it today, but Monday is a lot better than what I was expecting based on the original projections. Maybe they've received some more in today?
 
Got an answer to my email to corporate asking them what they plan to do to make me happy since they screwed me for an extra week. I'm getting 2 months of service credited back to me (before tax of course). It cost me just over $235 for the phone and a desk charger, but I'll see more than $300 credited to my bill for their incompetence. I can live with that. :D
